As the title says. I've just been shopping for a Class 10 SDHC card for my incoming Sony NEX-5 (http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/sony-nex-5-18-55mm-bestbuy-349-poss/838788) and thought I'd share the best price I can find.

several times more storage than your average SD card, if your cam supports SDHC that is..

i'm using a panasonic tz7 and a g1 and they both HATE the 32 cards i've tried with them (tried 3 different cards with each camera)

anyone else get that? or is it just me? they both work great with the 16gb cards i have.

the 32gb cards i used were lexar, sandisk extreme and a regular sandisk (standard blue rubbishy one - worst slowest card ever!)

How does that compare? I'm not upto speed with expected speeds.

Is it a good speed for a class 10?

Thank you!

I ordered one of these on 27th Dec, been waiting for it to arrive and someone here pointed out it wont ship til feb!! Ordered from the Kiki guy, many thanks!

the classes are not as hard to understand as most think but
class 1 = 1mb, class 2 = 2mb etc.. and class 10 = 10mb

althought this is supposed to be the minimum speed the card can achieve so they could theoretically go faster

Hi, does anyone know if this would be suitable for the htc desire hd? Great price if so as the ones i know to be compatible cost considerably more.

Thanks

It's not suitable for the desire hd, you'll need a Micro SDHC card.
The Desire HD already has an 8GB card as standard (at least that's what mine came with) so go for either 16GB or 32GB as an upgrade. Best advice is not to buy from eBay unless it's a seller you trust as a lot of the cards sold as "too good to be true" prices are fakes!

Examples of cards you could buy:
16GB Micro SDHC from Play.com

32GB Micro SDHC from Play.com

OP
For that camera you should really be looking for a faster card. Ignore the 'class' speed but go for a Sandisk Extreme 30mb/s edition. Lightening quick (still class 10 for those bothered) and never had one fail on me. Used in TZ5, TZ7, NEX3 + various Canon DSLR's.

Agree

Suitalbe fast storage for Nex may be either Extreme III or Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo HX (newer model). Both are 30 MB/s (read). Worth noting - Sandisk advertises 30 MB/s (read speed) and Sony advertises 20 MB/s (write speed)

The above balances price & speed IMO, unless your priorities are different.

Waiting delivery for my Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo HX 16 GB (product id = MSHX16A, GBP 42.99) from Play.com.

You may search for nex storage, nex sandisk etc on the dpreview forums for further info.
