My first deal posting - be gentle!

This looks like a great deal. The cheapest 1080p 32" LCD I can find.

£398.99 delivered, after using FIVETV and DELTV codes.

Can anyone tell me if it's a decent TV?

I'm torn between this or a Samsung LE32A457 (with 5 year warranty) at £349, from John Lewis.

The Samsung is not 1080p (not full HD). It depends whether you need that.

i have this tv and its excellent with good reviews,to be honest though full hd (1080p) on a 32" screen is very little diiferent than 1080i ,to appreciate 1080p..you really need the screen to be over 37"...that said, its a superb tv and would recomend it

That's my point. Torn between Samsung with 5 year warranty and 1080i, or LG with 1 year warranty and 1080p (and £50 more).

I'm just using it for playing Xbox 360 and PS3 in my spare room, sitting pretty near it on my desk. Is 1080p going to be noticeable?

You don't really need 1080p on a 32", I'd put the extra £50 at Dixons and go for the Panasonic 32LXD85 if I were you it's one stunning TV, it's standard HD put's a lot of 1080p TV's to shame.

Argos sells the Panasonic for £391. Looks good and is Low Energy as well with low running cost. I would personally go for a Sony or Panasonic.

Since you're going to be using Bluray and are sitting close, then yes, 1080p will make a noticeable difference. It would make a perfect PC monitor as well, something whill will benefit immeasurably from the higher resolution.

That's the 32LXD8 mate, I'm talking about the 32LXD85 which is 100Hz not sure how good the one you mention is, but, LXD85 has a stunning picture http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=10001&catalogId=1500001151&langId=-1&searchTerms=32LXD85&Submit=GO+%3E

finally someone with some common sense...

to everyone that says "it wont make a difference" have you actually seen 720P and 1080P working on a 32" TV? If not then how can you comment on it?
