Grand Prix Legends have 33% off all their Oakleys until the end of July and they have quite a good range. Delivery is £4.99 if spending upto about £70, and £7.99 over that.

typical, only bought some new oakleys last month,

had a quick look, there are definately some good prices on there.

good prices for oakleys, but why's the postage £3 more for a more expensive pair?

Insurance?
#5
I don't usually pay extra for insurance when I order from a website. For example, plays free dleivery, I assume if I buy a £500 tv from them their delivery method is insured. Either way, if something doesn't turn up, it's not on me. Is that what you mean?
#6
Some websites calculate the shipping/postage cost according to the item price. I know some couriers charge extra if the package in questions needs insuring etc.
#7
Oh yes, I get your point now.
#8
Prices arent really that good.

My local optician charged me £70 without discount for these.

Do you have their details please Twist so I can check the prices on the ones I was after? I just posted this thread as I had been looking for a while and they were the cheapest by at least 8%, and now with quidco on top, a lot cheaper.
#10
i think the prices are pretty good for oakleys. i'd say prices are about 10% cheaper than other online shops not the 33% quoted, but all retailers are guilty of exaggerating the discount. i suppose the quidco you save is then taken by postage charges.
good find coolio

I always thought retailers werent allowed to discount oakleys from the RRP, but a lot of sites have them about 20% off at the moment. I usually buy in the US but these are cheaper
#12
yeh, its rare to get genuine discount on oakleys, a lot of oakley sites like steptoes are offering 20% off rrp, but the prices shown are nothing special.
i was looking at some flak jackets for roundabouts £100 everywhere, i can get em for £88 here. so thanks again

£35 saving on a pair I was looking at in Vision Express on Saturday, many thanks.

Considering I always buy Oakleys they do not discount very often, if at all. In fact i can't remember the last time I saw a current range pair reduced.

I usually have to buy abroad or only get the VAT off at airports to get them cheaper.

This is an awesome find, the prices look good and definite heat added. ;-)
#15
some really nice prices on some of these :)
#16
Yes, it is currently the cheapest online, especially a few models ... I hope I can get my hands on a pair!!! Saving quick!
#17
Good prices.

The problem isn't that Oakley don't allow discounts, it's that the wholesale price is around 50-60% or retail, as they control the supply chain. So there is not much margin for profit if retailers offer discounts.

I think it's a good deal for what you can get here and now so voted hot.... but as ever, you can save 20% over these discounted prices if you buy in the states - http://oakley.com/

Pricing not bad...

The Felon range is only £80, in the states the RRP is $150, so not too badly priced. page here: http://www.grandprixlegends.com/LifestyleSite/L_Oakley_I_Eyewear_Felon(Lifestyle)/OK05620%28GPL%5FBaseCatalog%29/Lifestyle.htm

Plus 12% quidco!!!

Be aware though that some of the prices are much much more than the US RRP.

polarized juliets from the states are $330 dont forgwt that you will have to pay import tax on top of that...

with the quidco i'd say that its a better deal gewtting them from the UK.

An alternative brand and a much better price is bloc

http://ccgi.inline.plus.com/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_Sports_1.html

I used to have some Oakleys that lasted about 2 years, my current pair of Blocs I've had for neatly four now. Imo bloc are made better and the lenses are superb

I dont think Bloc and Oakley are in the same category.

Oakley = Ferrari of sunglasses and Bloc = Ford of sunglasses

Like I say I've owned both and would say Oakley = VW / Audi (overpriced but decent car) Bloc = Skoda (uses exactly the same parts as VW/Audi same build quality, but loads cheaper however suffers from Badge snobs)

When you look at the tech behind blocs glasses they're superb and I would say in exactly the same ball park as Oakleys, they just don't say Oakley on the side....oh and they're a UK manufacturer.

At the end of the day Hotukdeals is about saving money, yes this deal is excellent for Oakley's and deserves its hot rating, but some of us don't want to fork out so much for glasses when there are cheaper alternatives available with a similar quality and great designs.

Ordered last Monday and after a week of hearing nothing. have just had an e-mail saying they're out of stock, clearly a popular promotion.
#25
I got the same email. I guess they offer then out, and then source them. At least money has not been taken from the credit card. I am in no rush (and seemingly won't have the opportunity either with the weather) to get them. Quidco has validated at 10% so I will raise that with them as I spent almost £250.

First pair (crosshairs disptached)

Its been extended till "August 31st". Such date doesn't exist...

I got a pair of Canteens from them today.
