Hmm, seems the reviews are not excellent...(!)

Most complaints are about the monkeys and beggars.

If you can put up with that, this is a great deal.

Give the monkeys to the beggers and send them on their merry way...job done!

Seems a good enough deal...

BE WARNED: i have looked into asc before, please do read reviews online, they have terrible reviews everywhere, put me off going. It is a good cheap price but they do have "cheap" deals on travelzoo from asc atleast once a month, and there has to be a reason why they are so consistently cheap!

Be realistic in your expectations and you may not be disappointed. I have been with them and would agree on the bad reviews, but this is such a good deal that were I able to go I would be there. Kenya is such a great destination, for the beaches, people and especially wildlife.

We went here 5 years ago and the resort is ok but I was really ill with teh food and my OH hated the room which was very very basis. Worth paying extra to get better food and a better room with air conditioning.

We went later in the year and when you think you are getting flight and accommodation for the price of a flight we did not feel guilty leaving the room empty for 5 days to go off to Masai Mara on Safari which was the highlight and can be arranged cheap locally.

Masai Mara was best Safari I have been on, better than Sabi Sands we honeymooned at and well worth going to once yo get fed up with just lounging on the beach. Mobassa isn't all that eitehr so i would stick to the hotel area and take advantage of Safari (just don't book safari through hotel as much more expensive)

'room was very very basic'

What do you need ???

A Bed
A Bathroom
and somewhere to hang your clothes.

I would go all the way to Africa to sit in my room:whistling:

Guess this is minimum 2 people, so cost is £698 - need to phone to book, as online booking not available.

'Last few available, call 0845 345 0014 to book'

From saynoto0870 African Safari Club 0845 345 0014 = 020 8466 0014

I should be going with work in Mid April, (expenses paid and all, you know how it is) but this is not bad deal with the safari ;)

Some like luxury others are happy to have a basic base, no need to be so rude when someone has taken the time to try and review their experience of the hotel & resort.

Flights alone are over £400 for Mombasa. Do remember though you need injections, malaria tablets and there is a fee for a visa on entry which I think is now £25.
I love Kenya and if I wasnt already booked to go back I would snatch this up.

Some want luxury, but don't expect that for this price in Kenya. Some of you need to look beyond price / amenity, as that might be the only way you ever go to such an amazing country.

What I don't want for £350 is a nice dose of dysentery. I recently nearly booked a similar hotel but after looking at holiday feedback reports where several reported getting dysentery I dropped the idea. I spoke to my brother-in-law who said he had also got dysentery when visiting a ASC Kenyan hotel last year.
I can't recommend the ASC nile cruises enough. They are great but we decided against a Kenyan Hotel. The ASC reviews paint a rosey picture but other holiday review sites tell some horror stories.

It's right next door to Somalia, £349 is cheap for a one way ticket to abduction.

Went with this company in August 2009, Had a great time, stayed at Flamingo Beach Hotel. Yeah the Visa is roughly around that price! I think i'll go again this year for this price!

Looks like a good deal.. knock a star off any rating that ASC says on their site. We went on a nile cruise (paid £500 all inclusive) but had to spend another £200 on water and wine :D. Oh and although they say you don't have to tip your guides as it already in the price they generally frown upon those who don't dip into their pockets at the end of the holiday.

There will always be the optional extras that aren't included in the price with regards to excursions and alike but for this price just cater another £3-£400 on top and this will cover tips, excursions, extra food/beer/wine, & souvenirs.

Again, great for the price and for 14 days wow!

Edit: just read only breakfast is included but i'm sure it's cheap.

What do I want for £350?
Well I thought that this site was about good deals......am I wrong or should I expect rubbish if the price is lower than standard?
If you are saying that £350 is going to give me a poor holiday then this site should be re-named YouGetWhatYouPayFor.
UK to Bali for £1300? Surely thats a different continent thousands of kilometers away and for two people and not hotel included.

Cheaper than living at home!:)

wow, that's cheap

London-Nairobi flights alone are difficult to find close to this 350.00.
(London to Denpasar (Bali) are roughly 700-800 pounds.. )

If we didn't have you young children I'd jump at this holiday, I can see for the reviews that the hotel is very basic but for the price your paying what would you expect.

I've always wanted to go on safari and this would be the cheapest way of doing it, rather than paying 2-3k for a designer holiday

HOT DEAL!

Yep I paid £460 at the Flamingo Beach hotel in August, which is 4.5 shields, the best out of all. Great holiday, food, and beer! Don't travel much really, but I will never forget this experience, especially the safari to Tsavo East where I did get to see Lions on the second day. I recommend anyone going to go to Masai Mara though. If anybody wants pictures, please PM me, you won't be disappointed!
