HMV's new re/play app.

I've got it on Andriod, pretty certain it's on Apple as well, just scan the barcode and instant cash/trade values are shown.

I assume there's a better option than getting 35 trade for this- looking at the votes?

Basically trade this, add a fiver and you can pick any new release!!!

Yeah was supposed to end on the 27/28. If anyone can confirm that it' still 35 in store then that'll be great.

I know that as these games were part of an offer to buy mortal kombat/portal 2/operation flash point for 4.99. Traded a couple myself but the offer was suppose to end on the 28th if im not mistaken. They might not have changed the prices on the replay app yet, but have changed them on their instore system already?

The app is live prices. And the same happened with Fight Night when that was on the trade for new release + £5, but even when the date passed, FN remained at £35 trade value.

Great, thanks for the info on Fight Night. Do you remember it being 35 for how long after the offer?

from memory was definitely still on 3/4 days after, because thats when I traded it in, the chap serving me said the actual deal had ended, but he thought the trade value was left at 35, which turned out to be true

For anyone with a Gamestation nearby, they will match and beat any trade-in price by £1. If you show them the app, that should be enough proof. I think it needs to be within so many miles of the store it's beating, though.

and hmv will beat anyone by £1 too.
could you just keep going back and forth getting £1 more each time lol?

its a great app though i checked all my games and some are quite high prices that im suprised about. plus im happy to say some platinum versions of games are worth more than the originals - so suck on that platinum haters!

the only problem with hmv trade ins is that there in store games are expensive, so that £35 credit you get isn't really worth it.
#17
They have got some good blu rays in 2 for £20 offer.

Anyone know if there is any other trade in price apps on the market?? Just downloaded replay and it seems like a good app. Would be good if the other major trade in stores also have an app with up to date prices.

for a new release, which is 39.99 in any physical store (not online) there is value in doing this

In that case I will trade that game in instead and see what else I can buy as a replacement. It's a shame because MP was a big let down and Crytek have had long enough to get a descent patch that actually works.

Do HMV do credit notes/slips? I'd like to trade in Shift today before it drops down in price. Looking to get Brink next week...
#22
I just traded in Crysis 2 and got Portal 2 for £5, it's definatly still the same £35 value with shift 2 aswell.
#23
just traded mine in too, hopefully it'll still be 35 tomororw.
