how is this cheap compared to other powerballs. Yes its metal, but is that it?

I have the "Neon White Pro Signature" model which is great but this thing is taking the p*** a bit. You'd be just as well getting a cheaper one with the lcd counter screen and saving your money IMO. I paid £17.99 for my fancy light up LED model and I thought that was extravagant.

If you;re happy with your lightweight plastic one than fair enough.

You wouldn;t be able to handle the extra strength needed to wield this monster

You're kidding right?. The housing of this powerball is made of metal making it twice as heavy as the plastic ones. If you used the same gyro from the plastic powerballs (250Hz) then the extra weight of the housing in this fancy (coughoverpricedcough) metal one would actually make it much easier to handle. But what they've done here is to add a faster spinning 350Hz gyro to compensate for the extra weight of the housing and marketed it as some sort of manly man powerball. People shouldn't forget these things are designed for, and I quote "to gently rehabilitate lower forearm and wrist joints affected by carpal tunnel syndrome, repetitive strain injury RSI, arthritis or previous breakage" as well of course to tone the arms & wrists. Mine sits on my PC desk and gets used as a stress relief toy.

These metal power balls are twice the weight but not twice the speed rating as standard powerballs. I really don't think the extra £35 is going to be a worth while investment. Judging by the chilly -40 I'm guessing I'm not the only one thinking this.

What a total prat you are! Cold.... because I'm probably not manly enough either to handle such a mighty device.... or sad enough...

Unlike yourself who is clearly warrior build :) You must be sooo proud

instead of flaming the origninal person you should be trying to find this cheaper.
If you can then post it.
If you cant then move on.

The guy going on about the gyro being heavy too seems to miss the point.
In this case they are trying to give you a harder time and a higher level of workout.
To get the same rpm you need to handle ALOT more force. Thats why the fact its not twice the speed rating is completely irrelevant as the same speed point is a higher torque level.
They are bringing out another one with a lower density centre for those after the high speeds but high speed doesn't necessarily mean high effort/force.

The fact is this one requires more power as intended. Its a more 'manly' device.

Thats said no way in hell am i forking out this much for one.
I'll stick to higher rpm lighter version...
but if this is the cheapest price you can get this for then it should not be voted cold because of opinions about its 'value'.

no because if you add delivery for the ones you found they are both more expensive

@ www.pushback.biz cost = £45 postage=£3.50 total = £48.50 = cheaper than Amazon

Fair enough with the surfwax one, I assumed it was free postage because it didn't mention any on the checkout page. Still, both of these were found on the first page of a google search.

oh and btw

Congratulations, after some work you found a valid reason to vote cold.
Of course, only 50% of your hard found links and 25% of your posts were 'good' but extra points for effort.
Have a  as a reward.

Still, I'd rather order from amazon than some company i have never heard of before for the sake of 44p.

hard found links?, first page on a google search was all it took. If the OP had done the same he would have seen this is pretty much the going rate for these things and can even be had for less than the Amazon price he posted as a hot deal. If you cant then move on.".

Be sure to add it to the end of every post you make as it seems it is appropriate.
