Also have the Standard edition sticks in stock for both the PS3 and the 360. This is the RRP but is rare than a Wii Fit!! So don't expect the stock to last too long.

Could also got the 5% off for RAC Members and saving even more money!

Stick with your Wii Fit if u ask me lol

I think Im missing the point of these, the other one is the same price as an actual Xbox 360! Crazy money for such a basic looking thing IMO.
#3
So something being in stock at RRP is now classed as a deal?

It isn't the hottest deal, no. But worth a heads up for people. These are very sought after. Not by me, but a lot of people.

And what use is a stick at £59.99 if you can't get it is out of stock or unavailable?
#5
so what's the difference between this edition and the other one at twice the price?

just you me thinks lol too expensive for the time being really expensive

theyre rare because not many retailers have bought high numbers of stocks

they will make more

no one is purchasing them from ebay...its not like the wii fit or xboxes that sold for loadsa money on ebay

no chance of that happening on that
#14
$69.95 on PS3 according to that bloke on YouTube, so how come its £69.99 in the UK, I'll tell you why, because its rip off britain !
#15
I've heard that these develop a lot of faults.
#16

Lol exactly what I thought, ive just been looking at them on ebay with my OH and they are definitely selling!

They may not be some peoples cup of tea but Im sure some people appreciate this post so that they can finally find one in stock
#17
Good post OP!

Some people will not understand why you would pay this much for a controller but for the purist, its nothing! Likewise I can never understand why someone would spend £100k on a car or a private jet but if you can afford it and you want one then why not?!

I've pre-ordered the other one for £120 but if I was strapped for cash, this would have been a great alternative!
#18
Takes me back to 1992, those were the days, all you needed were a few 10p pieces
#19
MadCatz???

I wouldnt pay £10 for anything made by Madcatz, let alone £70

To Enjoy Streetfighter the best, you probably do need a proper "arcade stick"

Ill have to go dig out the one I made about 5 years ago out of MDF & proper arcade parts bought from Happ.

Absolutely!

Nothing better than saving your lunch money and changing them into 20p pieces so you can play a few games of 'Winner Stays On' after school at the local cafe!

Kids nowadays have it too easy with their modded xbox's, Wii's Ds's! :-D

Madcatz aren't the most renowned for their quality of products, however, have you read the reviews? Not just commercial ones, but experienced Arcade players have been raving about this stick and a lot are putting it on par with some of the fantastic Hori sticks. Some say better.
#22
Use the 5% RAC code and put it through Quidco to make it sligtly cheaper
#23
Top post, wish i could allow myself to buy one of these for friday :S
#24

Why do they have both of them, one which is double the price then? They both have the same features, only difference the guy said is the inside of the more expensive one had some different parts which doesnt seem to make a difference as he didn't talk about it that long. They both are trememdous ways of spending money on something you wont need (my opinion only).

Voted hot as out of stock everywhere else.

SF4 is much better using an arcade stick. If you're getting the PS3 version of SF4 & have an old PS2 joystick (or Dreamcast), there is an alternative though. Get a 'Trio Linker 2' & you can connect your PS2 joystick via USB to your PS3.

I have my old DC Virtua sticks connected this way & they work perfectly. Only about £15 so a cheap alternative if you've got some old PS2 sticks already

I wonder if they've used Sanwa or Seimitsu parts then. If so, then it could well be a quality product.
I have personally always found these a little awkward to play on as its to small for your lap.

The one in this deal uses normal Japanese parts, the Tournament Edition sticks that I linked to contain actual Sanwa parts (hence the price).

like it has been mentioned, how come these are $69.99 in the US and £69.99 here? Same thing with the TE, $149.99 in the US but £149.99 here. We should be buying the TE for £99.99 and this one for £49.99 !!!

prob better quality parts....i remember the old days of computer games and trust me with joysticks you need something that will take alot of punishment, but sure £150 is way too much

Street Fighter IV arcade stick roundup on Gamespot

5 stars for the Madcatz tournament edition stick, 3 stars for the Madcatz standard edition stick, 4 stars for the Hori fighting stick...

The one twice the price use Sanwa parts.

Sanwa parts are what are in the better arcade units.

You can buy Sanwa parts from http://www.gremlinsolutions.co.uk/sanwa.php
A lot of "mame" hobbiest do :-D

I remember seeing the billy bass fish thing in Australia for $29.99, then again in USA for $29.99 and when I got home it was £29.99 :x

the regular 360 pad isn't too bad for playing SF4 (i've "cough" aquired the JAP version) - as you can use the right trigger and bumper for the heavy attacks. A joystick would be nice but £70 (let alone £150 for the pro version) is pretty steep to enchance the experience of 1 game.
#38
Actually tempted to buy one of the TE sticks and keep it mint. No doubt be worth a fortune in a decade or so, what with being limited to 3000 worldwide.
#39
Tournament version is hot, as it's sold out most places - however, i'm surprised these Mad Catz sticks are getting heat whilst waaayyy back when Rock Band 1 was out, people were boycotting the price all over!
