i bought this just over a week ago, with staff discount for £297

its sold on my department & ,being a bit techy!, i wanted to know more so read the manual & it looked pretty good! ................................

............... phoned techwood on saturday (first day of use) because of problems. the auto screen sizing doesnt work on ANY source. also whenever you turn a source on it'll flick over to it (VERY slowly) then go back to the source it had on before!

customer services said i'd get a call back on monday as the tech dept werent in. 5pm monday I CALLED THEM! hey said that they will call tuesday most probably!

they phoned & spoke to my wife, getting her to reset it. when i got in i phoned them again saying it was still doing it. she said that she had one in front of her & that wasnt (didnt know call centres had each product in from of the to test! wonder if she was lying :whistling:). she then put me through to an "engineer" who said that they would have to arrange collection & deliver a new tv at the same time. i said fine, thursday or friday morning. he said no, it has to be between 9-5!

phoned back today to arrange the collection, the advisor said that i had spoken to the engineer yesterday but he was on his lunch so could i call back! i i said no, i just want to arrange the collection. her response was "well i've already told you he's on his lunch, what more can i do?"!!!

i'm guessing the replacement tv will have the same faults but will let you know!

as a member of morrisons staff & THE guy in our store that everyone comes to about tech stuff, i'd have to say i'm not impressed with the techwood customer services at all.

techwood have made an agreement with morrisons which means if a fault occurs you MUST contact them first. they wont accept it back instore unless techwood say so! i think it's totally against the sale of goods act but that what we've been told to do!

as for the tv overall, its ok. bluray looks good as does my freeview throught he scart. but dvds (through my PS3) look awful! VERY grainy! also the tvs own freeview is slow, ugly & not great quality.

Hi everyone, right, let's clear a few things up.

I, the same as the rest of you, were a little dubious of buying an unheard of brand TV from Morrisons two weeks ago. (For £329 I might add, DOH!)

I think it's brilliant! I have been looking a TVs for a good few months and wanted a nice size and preferably full HD at a reasonable price - this seemed to fit the bill.

The picture is brilliant, SD & HD on Virgin+ HD. The Olympics is a particular favourite of mine at the moment, I don't even like sport but find it hard to turn over just because the picture is so good!

I have an XBOX 360 hooked up via VGA cable and that is STUNNING!!! Games are truly given a new lease of life. Standard DVD also look very good through upscaling of XBOX, not quite BLU-RAY but not a million miles away at all.

And when you change sources, HDMI, VGA etc there is no lag at all contrary to what the top comment is, it may well be a problem with his TV but mine is spot on!

For £329, I am a very happy man. For £299, go and get one now and you WILL NOT REGRET IT!!! And as it comes with a 2 year guarantee, you can't go wrong!!!

Looks good with piano black finish, decent menus easy to navigate, sound is good, honestly get one!

Hope this helps, I'm sure all the techno-geeks out there will find this TV an abomination because it has no sony badge on it, but this is an honest review from the average human being!!!

My daughter bought this last christmas and it didn't see this christmas, the audio went t*ts-up over a number of weeks during the summer and trying to get a replacement is proving harder than you could imagine.

A bit unethical I know, I wrote the first post because I ALWAYS miss out on these deals by the time I get the money together and wanted to get my hands on one! Successfully might I add.

Slap my wrist, but honestly, you are safe to go and get one, because i have mine now and it's brilliant!

so you slated it incase everyone went out and got one and you missed out!!!

nice to see you have helped the hukd community out with your 9 posts......

I see deals that I don't post as I don't want them selling out before I get one, as for going to the lengths of slating the product before you buy it so they don't sell out is a bit OTT.
I like it though good idea.

Christ! It's like the world is going to end because I told a little white lie!

And lifetime ban??? Lord of HUKD StudentJo.........what are you on? Maybe death by lethal injection? Gallows perhaps? Ooh, maybe firing squad.......my favourite!

Can you all say you are perfect and never told a little lie for self gain? Mmmmmm.......no.

I think people are more annoyed because you have a measly 9 posts, so you contribute nothing and do selfish stuff like that. Do you really think anyone didn't buy a television from the very store you bought yours from? All because of your post? Moron.

I was angry but not so much anymore...desperate people are prone to bouts of stupidity. You're obviously as thick as pig-shít and going nowhere in life, good job places like this exist to help you out really.

I dont think you get the idea of this web site...in the main to help people get deals, pass the word!
So to be speak!!
You infact made a whole story up about a T.V on a hope it would not sell out!!Soz mate more then a white lie, dont you think!
#34
I got one of these 10 days ago for £329.

Absolutely spot on for the price.

Freeview, wii, xbox 360 look great with a crisp picture.

I was told by my Morrisons that if there were any probs within 28 days that I could return to store after this I would have to contact techwood. Perhaps the Tech guy for Morrisons should check.
#35
Do you guys actually care that he told a lie over a deal on the interenet, hilarious lol. Fair one like mate, do what you want its funny its not like the only people who buy these stuff are ones who visit this site these stores do have thousands of customers a day.
#36
As tech guy said, the policy techwood have with morrisons is completely against the SOGA. Any contract you have is with the retailer, not the manufacturer.
I've seen the TV in flesh with HD and SD. HD quallity not too far off my budget sony 40" 1080p set from a year n half ago which was surprising, and SD wasn't half bad either, although image was quite soft. Motion is handled quite well, although you do get judder on fast moving images. Colour looks fine - however I'm completely colour blind ;)

For a budget TV with full (or proper HD as I like to call it) its very good for the price, esp with 2 year warranty.

See now if you had done your homework, I only became a member of your "circle of trust" 8 weeks ago, and therefore haven't quite got to your legendary status, and you are a legend by the way, of 1039 posts!!! Round of applause for this man please! Woohoo!

Apologies (really) if I a) Have a life, b) Don't spend my days scouring the internet and shops for deals, c) Have a job (that's a big part) and d) have made you cry.......

Really I do like this website, group, society, you know what I mean. There are truly some good deals which I find very useful and often take advantage of, but Jesus......lighten up! If I knew I would cause this, I really wouldn't have worried about it.

Yes I know I have annoyed 2 or 3 people but really, let's put this all behind us and get back to the deals...........deal?:)
#38
And thank you schutz, finally someone with common sense and a sense of humour!!! HURRAH!!
