It's not often we see really comprehensive cruise sales, but MSC just announced a massive £1 sale for hundreds of 2010 sailings. Prices now start from £375 per person.

How it works: When one person buys a full-price cruise (excluding flights), the second person sails for just £1. This amazing offer is only available to book until 14 December.

Choose from over 300 itineraries. Here is a selection of our favourites (price per person when two travel):

* £375 (reg £750): 7-night Caribbean cruise on MSC Poesia... Saturday sailings 9 January-17 April
* £535 (reg £1070): 7-night Heart of the Med cruise on MSC Fantasia... 6, 13, 20 June
* £560 (reg £1120): 7-night Baltic Capitals cruise on MSC Poesia... 4, 18 July
* £593 (reg £1185): 11-night Black Sea cruise, Outside Cabin on MSC Melody... 4 July
* £675 (reg £1350): 7-night Best of the Med cruise, Balcony Cabin on MSC Splendida... 1, 8, 15, 22 May; 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 October
* £675 (reg £1350): 7-night Adriatic to Istanbul cruise on MSC Magnifica... 3, 10, 17, 24, April

It's worth noting that flights are quite expensive with MSC, but you don't have to book with MSC so if you had miles to use or found a good deal on flights elsewhere this could bring the price down.
Also children under 18 stay free in their parents cabin which is nice. (But you have to pay port fees).
Unfortunately it is off peak times and I don't think there are any school holidays included but definitely a good deal if you can book those times off work and were planning a cruise in 2010 (if not a cruiser, I highly recommend giving it a go!)
There's more information here http://msc.emailcenteruk.com/one_pound.html

Strange its getting cold. This is a great deal I think. I guess the regular stigma that cruises have are still present. We went on our first cruise in the summer and it was superb. The majority on the ship were in their 30's.

Unless there is something wrong with MSC?

What ship and where? I thought this line were generally an older crowd, certainly more than the American ships?
