Old Style RPG, meant to be good

Looks like an overpriced, inferior, Zelda rip-off to me.......................:whistling:

To be honest, I probably would have bought this if it was being sold for, say £7.99, on PSN, but not as a full price retail game.

From Eurogamer review (6/10):

3D Dot Game Heroes does have its moments and fun features, like a cute little avatar editor (guess what I made), and the ability to take screenshots and save them to your PS3's photo gallery. But every one of the problems it suffers from elsewhere is something that Legend of Zelda, through its longevity and the massive expertise of its designers, has either long since overcome or never had to worry about anyway. More or less everything 3D Dot Game Heroes does well, meanwhile, is something Zelda has already done better.

I definitely don't buy my games based on Eurogamer reviews, this looks fun and at a reasonable price, when is £25/26 a full price retail? try £40

Neither do I, but it does make for interesting reading. I watched a movie of this game on Gametrailers the other day, and it looked pretty poor to me. Other sites would seem to concur with this - Destructoid have also pointed out that it should perhaps have been a cut price digital release.

The RRP on this game is £39.99 btw, which definately makes it a 'full price' release

Whatever you make of it, it still looks to be the cheapest price at the moment... ;-)

Thanks. Looks like a fantastic little game.

Would go for this, if shopto.net were not at the bottom of my list of go to places. (Apart from game of course).
