The same fruit that is pressed for the making of such Innocent juices! #JustSaying

Yes the same juice has sugar of ten fruits and no goodness of fruit fibre in it. You can not eat 10 fruits in one go but it is very easy to drink the sugar of 10 fruits in one minute in juice . Sugar in large quantity is poison whether it is fruit sugar or added from outside. Fibre regulates the fruit sugar so it is released slowly to the body and does not cause blood sugar spikes and lows or converted into body fat.

So we shouldn't eat fruit or drink juice because it causes tooth decay? Is that after one glass or one fruit or lots of each every day with no dental hygiene? One small glass can be one of your five a day, this is the current stance of government public health advice so it's not really a false claim.

10 fruits?! One small glass of apple juice is probably no more than 2 apples so a slight exaggeration.

Whilst like with anything a lot of sugar is bad, and no one recommends drinking large amounts of juice, simply saying eat fruit because of the fibre doesn't solve everything. Particularly when some fruits are quite low in fibre and are just as bad at causing sugar spikes as soft drinks like grapes and bananas. :)

Full of natural sugar. Sugar causes diabetes, obesity and tooth decay. So be careful. Not healthy or five a day as they falsely claim. Eat fruit instead with all the goodness of natural fibre in it.
I was with you until you said eat fruit instead. I think being able to get one of your five a day within 5 seconds with minimal fuss is great, but yeah, don't drink the whole bottle in a day.

Fibre is not fuss. It is very healthy. Because of it, fruits and vegetables are healthy . Also it curbs appetite and calories. Throwing that fibre away as in juice is not healthy.

Not sure about the deal, but the maths is terrible - 88p per kilo.
It may be cheap but it's disgusting. Pudliszki Ketchup is by far the best.

Agree it's not that hot, I was just quoting the full name! I prefer the original to tabasco. This version is a bit less versatile but still nice, never had it on chips.

Phosphoric acid will melt your bones. Someone already put a broken teeth in coke and in one week it was gone.
[citation needed]
Most acids will dissolve something given long enough. The problem is we don't hold fizzy drinks, fruit juice etc in our mouths for a week. The hydrochloric acid in your stomach will also dissolve bone but it's not a problem. As another poster mentioned, the concentration and strength of phosphoric acid in coke is far less than your stomach acid.

Which is the one made with Stevia? It seems like the only viable version for the odd rum and coke... sugar, caffeine and aspartame are all unbelievably nasty for your brain chemistry.
[citation needed]
For one, seeing as your brain runs on glucose (i.e. sugar), I find it unlikely that sugar is nasty for your brain chemistry.
Coke life is the one with stevia but also contains sugar, about a third less than standard coke.
Thanks. But for your information sugar is scientifically proven to be more addictive than cocaine. Please don't believe me (I'm just a random wally on a website) and do your own research even if it's only 30 minutes. It also draws nutrients from your body in order digest it, not to mention the insulin spikes which cause you to gain weight... quickly.
This is refined sugar we are talking about and not a healthy intake which might come from things like fruit. Dopamine is also produced and used in the body, but no one then says therefore heroin is OK for you.
Scientifically proven to be more addictive than cocaine? Nope, sorry. There are a few studies that you are probably referring to but to say sugar, something which is found in many foods, anything with a carbohydrate content basically, and used preferentially by our brains and bodies as energy, is more addictive than a very harmful substance is wrong. Why do coke addicts steal from their families to fund their next hit when they can just munch on a mars bar? ;)
The few studies you will have read about will have involved a small number of rats and it's important to consider that a rat is not a person, they have different metabolisms, brains etc, and lab conditions are not realistic comparisons to life as well as the small numbers of rats involved. Another study showed that sugar "lights up" the pleasure centre of the brain, just like cocaine, heroin etc, however so do most things we find pleasurable such as learning a language, eating chocolate, high fat foods, sex etc and they all activate a dopaminergic pathway but it's silly to say they all cause the same psychological and physiological effects. Is learning a language as bad as heroin? I wish I had that excuse in school. X)
We cannot conclude from these few studies that sugar is more addictive than a dangerous drug. There's not a lot of evidence that you can even be addicted to any nutrient or food but it seems you can be addicted to eating in general. http://www.neurofast.eu/digitalAssets/1455/1455240_consensus.pdf
Refined sugar or natural sugar in fruit, there is no difference as sugar is sugar. Too much isn't a good thing of course, as with fat or salt, but your body treats all sugar the same way regardless of the source.
Sugar draws nutrients from your body to digest it? Perhaps but the problem with that argument is that everything in your diet will draw nutrients from your body to digest each type. However when we digest our food, we absorb the nutrition from the food, replenishing what we used and leaving us with spare amounts. This cycle continues otherwise we would all show signs of either nutrient deficiency or toxicity which is why we need a balanced and varied diet. I'm sure if I ate a pure sugar diet, I would run out of certain micronutrients but I'd have far more pressing issues than that!
As for insulin, I found this series of articles quite good.
Sorry for the long post!

Yeah, you know, when it gets reduced down to 'pride damage control' is when I'm out. Also look at research for the harmful effects of pride :p

Excess Sugar is poison in large quantity. No difference in refined sugar or fruit sugar. Only difference is fibre and vitamins /minerals contained in fruit. Stevia is considered safe. Coke is bad for those with joint pain due to Phosphoric acid.

The fiber and other nutrients in fruit make all the difference. Drinking a coke gives zero benefit to a human unless they need to a sudden burst of energy (and a crash soon after) this is why they are referred to as empty calories. I don't eat much fruit and I certainly don't drink fruit juice either because I realise it's still sugar.

lol this is a terrible deal. We have a local shop that sells cases of this with 24 can for £6 and it's not nearly out of date.

Equivalent to 4 for £1. Now for those of us who are going to consume them before end of August, 5 for £1 is a better deal, with no need to buy a case of 24. And how many guys would refuse to drink it on September 1st cause it went out of date the night before?
