Are these even still used anywhere? University's, College's, places of work and even most schools now use projectors with PC's.

Just pop in to any school... I expect they will give you one free. We have loads sat around gathering dust.

EDIT: It looks like they go for around this price on ebay... second hand! So being new this has to be a good price.

Best idea I ever heard for these was for painting children's bedrooms. Basically you project slides of their favourite cartoon characters on to the walls and simply paint over the images to get a perfect replica.
#13
You could use it to practise photocopying your bum prior to the office xmas party!
Or buy a long extension lead and use it as a search light for the car!!
#14
Do I get a free supply teacher with it?

Grab an old flatscreen monitor with a broken backlight, wap it on this, viola! Digital projector...
#19
i may flick a tie over my shoulder and buy a pointer too.
#20
This plus the guts of a TFT monitor can make a screen projector.
#21
This is a better model and still £50

Just like to point out the resolution on these babies is infinitely superior to any digital projectors.

Not infinitely, constrained by photons' behaviour
