One reason I can think of is for templating a kids wall if your going to paint one of those full size disney scenes or something like that.

They still had a few OHP's in the lecture theatres at my uni...and I was there up until last year.

So maybe they aren't as obsolete as you'd think!

Ahh yes. Is that the same one that took at least one teacher 10 - 15 minutes to find the right channel. Yup, memories.
Although I'm amazed I still have a memory left after all the photostat (?) handouts we used to sniff. What a great smell !!
