Great price if the size fits. mine is 31.6mm so no go, plus road use only I think.

I have one on my mountain bike and carbon handlebars are the best for road buzz

Would a bike with a 30mm post clamp down on a 27mm post?

You'll need one of these to make it fit

Thank you very much

I think this is the same seatpost as was posed a year ago at £10, even then I wasn't sure of the benefits, it weighs as much as a decent alu seat post but you need to take added care not to crush it.

Good if you want to look bling I guess.

Is this the standard fit for road bikes. I've got a team carbon - would this fit?

27.2mm is a fairly common size. If you have a larger seat tube on your frame you need buy a shim as mentioned above.

This is cheap for a carbon post but a £17 alloy post is functionally every bit as good, no heavier and certainly more robust. If you scratch a carbon post , bars or stem you can seriosly reduce their strength.

Surely 255g is heavy for a carbon seat post?

Still seems like a bargain though

So cheap... gotta be worth a punt? Strong and shock absorbent right?

Carbon will provide both better shock absorbency and more stiffness than aluminium so even if it doesn't save on weight it will still help.

Is that right? How can it be more absorbant yet stiffer? Is it absorbant vertically but laterally stiff? Can clever weaving achieve that?

Don't know the science behind it but its what i've always been told about carbon as well.
