E27 IS NOT the most commonly used fitment!!! Its a pain in the neck connection actually. And if you know anything about the UK market then you'll know the bayonet is THE most popular fitment!

E27 is screw fit, right? Thought bayonet was more common.

They have the more common fittings like the GU10's as well for a good price thanks for the heads up!

Have you read the reviews, a very dim light, not strong enough to read by, so only really useful for somewhere you only need a dim light, I notice it says equivalent to a 30w light

Are you sure? Loads of the light fittings in my house are E27, certainly more than bayonet.

I agree - in recent years Edison screw fittings have taken off. and most modern fittings are (S)ES - I blame Ikea!

Anyway, I am yet to buy an LED bulb that is fit for anything more than 'mood' lighting but having said that a goot price and good spot.

Cheers

I thought Ikea had loads of Small bayonet fittings, they are like rocking horse poo to get hold of. House we moved into had loads of these fittings and previous people were mad on Ikea, personally not bothered!!

The E27 ref is a copy and paste and as its from an American site its an American reference, an unfortunate error. At least this shows that the LED lights are getting cheaper and cheaper and stronger, won't be long before they are all LEDs.

These LED lights are great i bought Osram one for the fish tank and one for a reading spot light which is fine and so cheap to run

I find the LED lights VERY COLD. Too much blue in them. It's not pleasent to the eye and also distorts colours. Until they develop some better buit-in compensation filters, LED bulbs will never take off.

You need ~7W LED to be almost equivalent of a 50W halogen - and for a decent one you are looking at ~£20
