Finally, it was about time memory dropped in price

This has been predicted for a while, good to see its finally back down in price. Lets see if it gets as low as the late 2008 levels, where it was possible to get 2GB for £11.99 from play.com, DDR2-6400 at the time. :)

I could do with some cheap 3GB RAM. 1GB doesn't cut it as my PC needs more RAM for intensive software.

Dumb Q: is DD3 downward compatible with DDR2

looks pretty good, its aimed at tri-channel users though, so people with x58 mobos and i7's.....

Nope, physically their slots are different

If anyone decide to buy 2 packs of these (i.e. 6x1GB) be careful some mobos are not really perfect compatible with full 6 sticks of ram installed. In this case they may only run at 800/1066mhz instead of the 1333mhz marked on the tin

By the way does the term 'PC-10660' really exist? I could only recognize PC-10600/12800 :p

Thanks mate! Was looking for 4GB DDR3 on the cheap, most e-tailers selling around the £60 joobz mark. Bargain at half the price. All I need now for my new setup is a decent GPU....any deals out in the wild?
