I've been looking out for one of these for a while. This looks like a good price from Argos for £49.99, reduced from £79.99.

* Gazebo may be green or blue depending on store stock.
* Instant lightweight pop up gazebo can be put up or folded down in seconds.
* With 3 side panels.
* Weight 20kg.
* Size 3 x 3m.
* Height 270cm.
* Size of side panels 3 x 2m.
* Self assembly by 2 people recommended.
* Packed flat for home assembly.

I know someone that's got one of these. It's very good quality and I believe it does come with a bag.

The pop up ones are definitely worth getting and superior to the standard ones. They go up in seconds and are ideal for a bit of shade when having a BBQ, or car boot sales, or if you're stuck outside all day in 30 degrees like me at one of my son's footie tournaments in the summer.

Woolworths have these at £39.99 and i believe they are going to be £29.99 over the bank holiday weekend....

Yes they are £39.99 at Woolworths, but if you look a bit closer you'll see that not only are they smaller but they don't have any side panels either. In fact it's a different product and most likely inferior to this one.

You can get these for about £40 at some places but you'll have to pay around £20 for delivery and you won't get the same CS as at Argos.

As someone who as experienced various Gazebos at festivals including Glasto, I can confirm that this and the other one discounted by Argos are much better quality than the mega cheep ones from elsewhere, less like to collapse in the wind/rain that is a typical British summer so you will use it more than once. The included side panels are a very useful inclusion too that often get charged an extra £20 for.

heat and rep given :)

I got one of these from Argos last year, at the full price, for my son's party. It was great and very easy to use.

Only problem I had was that I left it out over night and we had a massive storm and it got blown away and ended up a mangled mess!

Good piece of kit though.

Lol, yeah, they're not storm proof.

Sports HQ do some good ones. They don't have side-panels, but are larger (3m x 6m) - £69.99 is the price. I have one - they're great.

Can anyone say how these handle a bit of a breeze? I've had 2 normal ones done in by the wind in the back garden over the last 12 months.

Allthese gazebos are poor in windy conditions. It's pretty obvious, but when you have that much material, and that little frame, it acts like a really really good hang-glider. You'll find your gazebo in a neighbouring town if you're lucky. Look on the bright side, I had a 12 foot trampoline blow over my next door neighbour's house, hit the house next to that (dislodging a few tiles) and then take the gable end of the house next to that (before flying across the road and ending up in the front graden of another house). Was I popular in the street?

A breeze will be OK, but not anything beyond that. Certainly not a gale. In fairness, most umbrellas and a lot of tents aren't stormproof.

Bought one of these last year, Water proofed it with nikewax and bought a cheap tarpulin to cover top in really bad weather works a treat had it out in howling wind and rain for a 40th birthday!! in April held the tarp down over it with string and a couple of breeze blocks.

Isn't it already water resistant?

Do you have to use the sides - or are they optional?

We want to use one against the back wall (i.e. outside the patio door) to put all my son's ride-ons rather than being overrun with them in the house. However, it would be nice to still get some light through into the dining room!

The sides come bundled with it but it's optional if you want to add them.

Thanks for the comments on wind...

I was thinking that would be the case, and yes, I've had to introduce myself to new neighbours on more than one occasion with the words: Hiya... Can I have my gazebo back... How much do I owe you for your conservatory?

I was really meaning more on the frame. Mine always get buckled when someone sneezes, and with these being pop up was wondering if the frames are any better or worse.

The frame seems very sturdy. I've got a rough idea what the non-pop up ones are like and i'd say that this would be a lot stronger and sneeze proof.
