Little bit concerned about the onboard graphics but my PC knowledge is several years old. Will be used as a home PC. Very basic gaming and browsing so probably no need to up the ram or worry about on board graphics!

While the long term view would be to build a system based round the G4560 and add a GPU.

Sadly the A4-7300 doesn't have a lot going for it. It's pretty slow only has two cores and a poor shader count for an APU.
But CEX will give you £8 (trade in) for the A4 and have a A8 7670 for £35. So for a £27 upgrade you get twice the cores (which have slightly better IPC) and a 384 shader GPU up from 128.
So will give you a better balance system and will play many games like CSgo, lol, wow fine and will play AAA games on low settings.

I tried the 'Click & Collect' option but it still adds £12 to delivery oO:)

Free delivery for me. I'm guessing it's because you are on IOW and there courier charges extra.

Why pay a shed load of money for something that is going to lose half its value in a ouple of years or less?

No it's fine to compare products that aren't the same and is often done on here.... I no longer buy steak because it was pointed out that donkey meat is similar and much cheaper.
