A few companies have done offers like this, but the winnings have all been in "bet tokens". I would read the T&C's first.

if its tokens forget it

Would advise against William Hill. Put my free £10 e/w on a 9/1 was supposed to be 1/3 odds on second. Came in second, but the winnings were only £5. Tried to dispute it but was told the bet had been settled correctly and that was the end of it. Received no further replies to emails.

Does anyone know if the cashback is void with this offer - £27.30 for a new signup via TCB http://www.topcashback.co.uk/william_hill_sports_betting/

If you lose you are given your money back as a free bet.

Nice one mate, £10 placed on Germany to win the cup and £10 placed on Argentina to win the cup (paddy power was 6/5 odds at time of betting).

Germany win - £30 profit.
Argentina win - £2 profit.

T&Cs say it may not pay out...

Please note that the use of a William Hill Sports Betting promotional/voucher code not posted and approved by TopCashback, may affect your eligibility for cashback
.

Not sure really.

Just joined, am I betting on where the odds say 4/6 after putting the promo code in when registering?

Yes just make sure you go for 'Germany to win the cup', not just Germany to win as this will not include extra time and pens. I have had a £10 punt on this, Germany have looked the part through the whole tournament (annoyingly).

did this before you replied, just speaking with their online chat and they said I've placed the wrong bet, that it should be the 90 mins market bet.

I have no clue what I'm doing, have I just wasted a tenner?

I did that and checked with their online chat who have said it was the wrong bet, voided it for me and now said only the first bet qualifies for the offer. WTF

This is the info for the William Hill betting using the posted code to gain 4/1 odds.
Welcome to William Hill, the Home of Betting.

We are pleased to see that you have registered with the GER4 promo code. You’re just steps away from backing Germany to lift the World Cup at an amazing 4/1.

How to qualify:
Simply back Germany in our 'To Win The World Cup' market at the current odds in a single up to £10

Your extra winnings will be credited within 24 hours into your account.
The correct bet to make is the one in the pic posted by r0ckets, to confirm this - when you sign up using the GER4 promo code, you get a message in your message box on the site.

I just spoke to William Hill by live chat and they said the correct bet to make is under Home Page > World Cup 2014 > To Win The World Cup > Germany. Odds currently 4/6. Same as screenshot above I think but a different way of getting there
#15
I called them up and was advised my original bet was correct, the guy on online chat was talking rubbish and they've reinstated my original bet..what a hassle! Is online betting always this difficult?

Those odds are only if they win in full time by the looks of it so you'd lose out if they won in extra or peno's right ?

That's correct but 4/1 is still really good!

Yeah the 4/1 odds look good and I'm thinking of doing it myself but not being a betting man really I was trying to see what would be the best cover option that people are talking about.

Can you withdraw the winnings or only to be used as a free bet? Can't find T&C for this particular offer.

He's right, so there's a risk if Argentina win outside normal time, you'd get nothing.

There was a Brazilian Psychic that said 2 months before the world cup that Brazil would get to the semi final and that Germany would win the World cup. So all my money is on Germany to win.

winner.com are offering odds of 11/2 for Germany at full time, or 13/2 for Argentina.

Again, if it goes to extra time or penalties, you lose out.

If your betting on a 'to win'the match' be sure to check the terms for the '90 minute rule'

I'm sorry, but I can't seem to figure out how this works. I've clicked on the button as in r0ckets post, but when I try to bet 10 pounds, I get the following error:

Alert - your bet has not been placed
Sorry, you have insufficient funds available. Please deposit in order to place your bet.

I did get the GER4 message in my inbox however...

Under 'open bets' could you please copy paste your bet as I'm concerned I've managed to place the wrong bet. Germany as Tournament Winner rather than To win the world cup...

It won't show the 4/1 odds as they top it up to those odds after the match (within 24 hours), So if Germany win you'll get £16.67 now (with a £10 bet) then you'll get the other £33.33 within a day.

I think the 8/13 thing is the standard odds, which a £10 bet gives a £16 return, but I am guessing they add extra winnings for new members? Bit of a risk though.
There really isn't' any risk, this is the point of the bets (you simply can't loose money).

If Germany win you get 4/1 odds and with £10 placed you get £50 back, if Argentina win you get 6/5 odds so with £10 placed you get £22 back - so as long as you place £10 on both bets (the WH one and the PP one), your going to get either £2 profit or £30 profit.

If you don't understand betting .......... DON'T BET.

This thread is a little mis-leading...

OP says to also bet on Argentina to Win @ 11/2 with Paddy Power and then you "can't lose" but that bet is for Argentina to Win in 90 mins so if they win in extra time or on penalties then you'll lose both bets.

Plus just took a quick look at their site and there's not 11/2 available for Arg to win in 90 mins anyway, it's 13/5.
