Ok so this deal isn't for everyone... Ive been lookin for a home CCTV kit for about 3 weeks now since my aunty down the road was robbed by a man pretending to read the gas meter...

This are by far the cheapest kit i have found for decent quality CCTV videos @ £299.99

Used to be £399.99 reduced to £299.99

Sorry don't know how to add pictures. :S

That's alot of money to pay . There's cheaper systems out there .Check ebay . But ,I agree some have poor picture quality .I have systems left ,as I used to sell them years ago , not the recording ones though , only the type you plugged into a scart socket on the TV and some of them had poor picture quality .
I recently bought one of the recording device's with camera .It records movment either still's or avi's , timed or constant to an SD card with date and time .It runs on a 10v source and has a tiny wired camera and is OK for £15 . Picture is a little grainy but does at a pince .

Well , it all depends on what you want to use it for . An example , if you want a camera to point on to your drive to watch the car , you can buy an external B&W camera and use a LED lamp posibly running from a 12v source [adapter ] will give you a good picture in the dark . If the camera is in close proximity to the recording device you can just buy a wired camera . Alternativly , theres lots of wire-less devices running on 1.5hz & 2.5hz , range is not fantastic though . You can buy a recorder where you just fit your own 3.5" hard drive in , they run from a 12V source and will record 247 for 7/8 days or more depending on the settings and the size of the hard drive. Lots of options to choose from . I have a load of different camera and recording devices , just ask if you want more info .
