AA Car Essentials Reflective Vest Family Pack - set of 4 hi-vis vests.

Seems like a very good price, and as far as I know it wasn't a clearance or reduced offer (just a normal white shelf label), so should be available in most Tescos - found this in Doncaster Balby Tesco Extra and there were plenty amongthe car accessories.

In some EU countries it's mandatory to carry hi-vis clothing in your car, and even if you're not going overseas, for a quid each they're a pretty good buy for cyclists or just to keep in the car for emergencies.

Comprises 2 adult & 2 kids
Adult are both XL - labelled 96-132 chest, 164-198 height. I'd say they'd fit pretty much any adult, even if you're really big you don't need to fasten it up as they're waistcoat style with velcro fastening.
Kids are both the same size, to fit 80cm-150cm height, 48-84 chest. I'd say that these would fit from about 3-10yrs comfortably.

Bright yellow with lots of reflective stripes on them.
Machine washable.
Conforms to EN471 and exceeds EN1150.

Can't find these on Tesco Direct, so assuming it's instore only. Found the same item on speeding.co.uk for £12.99 so defo a bargain!

The family that glows together stays together! Heat added.

Good price. Are a £1 each though in poundland. But these being AA surely will be better quality.

Do Poundland have kids ones too? I could do with a 5th one (should have just bought another pack of 4 really at that price, but didn't think at the time).

Probably true. There's just something nicer about buying something in a box with a brand name on it! These do feel nice enough, better than the scabby quality ones we've got at work, but if it's something you hardly ever use and don't need the EN ratings then they're probably much the same.

If i remeber correclty they had 3 sizes, small , medium and large. So guessing a small should be ok for a child.

If only The AA had used that photo on the front of the box instead of the one they've got...

these will be essential if you are travelling in the EU as its a new law that each member of the family needs a hi vis jacket in the car incase of a break down

Before you drive in France, ensure that you have a High Visibilty Jacket for the driver and, ideally, for all occupants. The law came into effect on 1st July 2008 making a requirement for the driver of the car to wear a high-viz upper body garment (waistcoat, jacket, anorak) if the car is immobilised at the side of the road or on a hard shoulder and he has to get out of the car. The jackets have to be within reach inside the car - not in the boot.
High-viz jackets are not obligatory for passengers, but they are a good safety item to carry in case they, too have to get out of the car.

Very Expensive for me, I work for an engineering company on various sites therefore I can pick up this item for free, plus there is nothing better than the satisfaction of stealing from Work!!!

This information is wrong.
Only the driver needs a high viz jacket by law.
