Choice of 5 wines in my local store Torquay.

Don't forget to use the cardboard carrier as the till doesn't remove the discount without it.

I bought 4 carriers today and they all took £4 each off the bill.

Lidl were yesterday clearing out a lot of their seasonal (?) wines to make way for new wines to cone in. This is the stuff that they have in the wooden boxes not the regular stuff on shelves. They had wines reduced to 3.99 down from 12ish. Bought 2 as thank you presents. Might be worth a look?

Loads of wines reduced from £10 and more to around £3/4 in my local (Llanelli) today. Picked up a few for Christmas.
#5
What dates are on the carrier?

I had to read the title atleast 42 times to get my head around it!

Wine cellar wines are reducted to clear at £3.99 some chateau de pape (probably spelt wrong!) down from £11.99 amongst others. stores that have wine carriers should still have them on display as it will go through the tills (despite the date on them being expired - we were told to keep them on display)

These promo wine carriers expired on 25th September. I think you were very very lucky. This won't be a deal for everyone so don't get your hopes up.

Still on in Torquay store. Hundreds of bottles on a plinth end all £3.99 and loads of wine carriers. Asked the manager and he said it was still on. New range Thursday hence clearance. Just bought another 12 bottles myself.

That's good. What does the small print on the promotional carrier say?

Keep in mind stores are putting a stop to this, my store refused as offers do not count towards items which are reduced to clear, as many supermarkets do.

just got 8 vastly reduced wines + 2x winecarriers with the £4 off

wait a bit & when my wife leaves I'll get them in & tell you what I got

but similar story to several above, mine were more like £8-9 reduced to £2.99 & £3.99
#17
hang on I've got the receipt

I paid 5x £3.99 3x £2.99 - less £8.02 winecarriers = £20.92
= £2.615 / bottle

I got 3x Reuilly Loire
Lidl is particularly proud of its Reuilly Domaine du Chene Vert, Loire 2015 at £8.99 a bottle and claims it features the same fl oral and lime notes as a classic Sancerre white wine for less than half the price. Does it really?

“It is similar to a Sancerre, selling for a much higher price. I wonder whether people could really tell the difference,” says Bampfield, who singled it out as a star of the collection. http://www.express.co.uk/life-style/food/714778/Lidl-offer-grape-deal-wine-buffs

WINE OF THE WEEK: Foremost Syrah 2015, Hawkes Bay
March 10, 2016
Joanna Simon
£8.99, Lidl
http://www.joannasimon.com/single-post/2016/03/10/WINE-OF-THE-WEEK-Foremost-Syrah-2015-Hawkes-Bay

This is from Lidl’s Easter wine cellar collection and is worth snapping up before the limited stocks disappear – even if you’re not a Lidl regular. It’s proof positive that there’s not only far more to New Zealand wine than Sauvignon Blanc, but more to the country’s reds than Pinot Noir. It’s typical of the Syrah style emerging in Hawkes Bay on the North Island: much more like a French Syrah from the northern Rhône than a typical Australian Shiraz (which is why the grape is called Syrah here, not Shiraz). Instead of exuberant, super-ripe fruit, you get a lighter, more savoury, black-pepper and clove flavour and softly perfumed blackberry and elderberry fruit. It’ll hit the spot if you’re having lamb for Easter, or roast rib or sirloin of beef (but not a rich casserole). You could also pair it with tuna steaks. Should you want a French label on your table instead, I recommend Lidl’s Saint-Joseph 2014, a Syrah from the northern Rhône at the same price.

reckon I'll mosey back into Lidl this morning with yesterday's 2 winecarriers :)

another £8 off methinks!
#23
back of the net! the nice young lady just scanned my winecarriers same as yesterday for £8.02 off

3X 2.99 + 5x 3.99 so same as yesterday but I got different wines, = £2.61/ bottle

2 of these Sparkling Vouvray, Loire, Philippe Deval NV, £7.99: Chenin-based, this is a creamy, honeysuckle, baked-apple and lemon style fizz with gentle bubbles and a good balance. It is dry with a fresh, clean line of acidity and goes perfectly with savoury dishes. Try it with chive and onion tart.

2 of these
Domaine Saint Prix, Sauvignon Blanc, St-Bris 2015

The small St-Bris appellation is located just around the corner from Chablis. This is the only area in all of Burgundy where Sauvignon is allowed. A lovely zestiness wakes up the nose and palate with green apple and ripe gooseberry. It’s pleasant, tangy and very quaffable. Perfect on its own but will also pair nicely with goats cheese salads.

3 of these Anyway, I will be watching the football and I’ll be drinking whatever random bottle I happen to have in the fridge or under the stairs. That could well be another good buy from Lidl’s spring collection, Cantine Valle Isarco Müller Thurgau 2015 (£6.99; 12.5% abv), from Alto Adige in Italy – it’s so obscure, it’s beyond sexual stereotyping and ideal if you like aromatic whites. https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2016/jun/09/women-football-euro-2016-beer-wine-sexism-fiona-beckett

plus 4x
Some of the top whites hand picked by by Richard Bampfield, MW include a 2013 classic dry white Bordeaux, Chateau Marjosse Entre-Deux-Mers, Bordeaux which retails at £7.99 received a rating of 87.
