Still a hot deal - great price compared to the rest of the supermarkets.

I does think you will find its litres at farmfoods. A deal that is so under rated time and time again. Your right to pint it out though. LOL. :thumbsup:WS

Please think of the dairy farmers. This must be killing them.

what as csutomers are we meant to do then? Do our weekly shop elsewhere?

anyway as to the OPs claim "SAVE LOADS ON TESCO'S RIP OFF PRICES!"

Cravendale 2 litres is only £1 at tescos and its far superior so COLD for the claim anyway AND THE SHOUTING! ;-):giggle:
#17
Still think the farmfoods offer is better value (2 2 litres for £1.50).. but yes a shame not more stores although in my case easier to get to than Iceland
#18
Tesco sell cheaper milk if you look

not really. Just got a decent palette and can taste the scum in normal milk.

Iceland also do 2 kingsmill loaves for £1.50 and a dozen eggs for a quid,i always get bread milk n eggs from there usually an average saving of £2.50 every time you buy all 3,and if you do that regularly its a canny saving
#23
I have been getting this from Iceland for a long time now . Good to let others know though mate .

Yes I have tried it. I can not tell the difference between any semi skimmed milks.
After all it all comes from the same place !

The 'white water' i was referring to is the Low Fat milk, the 0.75% fat stuff.
Seriously, its NOT from the same place as normal semi-skimmed!! (well originally it is, but its messed with afterwards!)

as said, posted before but worth a reminder i guess.
Why all the capitals though?

farmfoods is 2 litres, not 4 pints, so works out 3.5p a pint cheaper (not really worth the cold, cold, cold tho!)

I never heard of farm foods! just looked them up and nearest is 23 miles away bit of a trek for milk! LOL
#29
supermarkets used to be the cheapest for milk back in the day, now they are rip offs. The reason i say that is the normal price for 4 pints of milk in my local corner shops is 99p. With the supermarkets buying power surely they could beat this, unless farmers have a huge monopoly on it.

same here go once a week, for bread milk eggs & the big bag of american fries as they are really nice!
#31
Sainsburys 1% has been £1 for months - cant tell the difference from semi skimmed.

Depends on how much fat you want to drink I guess - I was very sceptical about 1% milk until I did a "blind tasting" - was easy to guess the full fat (4%) , but I had the 1% next with semi skimmed (2%) in third.
#32
Voted hot by me... we use 4 pints semi and also 4 pints full fat for our 1 year old every week. Major saving - especially if you freeze a few for later use....
#33
Been this price for about a year ...lol
Very good, long lasting milk.
#34
Lidl is also good for milk, about 1.10
#35
YUK, have a cold vote for trying to be smart re quality Cravendale milk and Tesco's low price on this milk.

and Iceland is a shining beacon of cleanliness and taste? lol.

I normally go into Iceland if i'm passing, they do a few good deals, like free range eggs at 99p for a half dozen. still, on the bread front, you can't beat tesco weekend loaf deals, so long as you have one nearby with a decent bakery.
banned#37
what about poundland? They also sell 4 pints for £1...
#38
FYI - Sainsburys does 4 pints of 1% milk (semi is 2% skimmed is 0.1%) for £1 - and has done for the last year at least...
#39
Fresh N Lo at Tesco 4 Pint is currently 65p :)

Great tip parisp! This has been included in Bitterwallet's deals of the day. Many thanks!
