Excellent advice - was looking for a cheap one of those this week, but the cheapest Asda has them for is £6! Will pop out and get one this week, thanks.

Got the 6-way ones a couple of weeks ago,not bad quality but wouldn't use them for heavy duty stuff but ok just for extra sockets.

They are about 30cm, complete with 1m of cable :p

Stealing your neighbours electricity (one plug in a socket in your house, another plug in a socket in your neighbours house).

I did that once, when a phase was down, meaning one in three houses had no electricity. Completely against all regulations of course, and I made sure my main switch was off.
