Four pork quarterpounders for just 50p - look for the yellow 'Redu;ced to Clear' price ticket in the freezer section. Good quality burgers - almost three quarters meat content. A clearance line, so be quick!

Ask yourself this:
Would you feed this to your own children?
#2
75% of various parts of a pig ..ears head trotters plus numerous internal organs and then 25% none pig products ... I dont know what I would rather avoid ...maybe all of it ;)
Not such a hot deal as maybe you think surely ?
#3
Surely if its cheaper than it was then its a deal? No one asked if you liked it or wanted to eat it or who you'd feed it too
#4
I haven't voted either way.
Whether they asked or not I don't care, I am expressing my opinion on this product, it's called free speech I believe.
#5
Most people vote depending on whether they would buy it. If they wouldn't (because they don't like it for example), then they'd vote cold.

Else everyone who posts the cheapest of an item would always get heat, even though there may be other (better) items out there.
#6
I have been looking for baconburgers, anyone know where I can get them?

Oh, btw do people here not eat sausages? What on earth do you think goes into them?

LOVE

I thought that heat was for a good deal whether or not you like the product and cold is if you think it's not a good deal because you know you can find it cheaper for example.

On that basis this deal is hot, even though the product is probably rather nasty.

I agree, poor product but excellent deal, voted hot. If somebody finds a BETTER product at the SAME price, I'll heat and rep them too.

You're fighting a losing battle, poeple now vote on what they think you should eat not on price. I learnt my lesson when I posted some cheap chicken, the foodies jumped down my throat and negged it because they disagreed with the welfare standards of the chickens. Didn't matter that it was cheaper than you could get elsewhere, they just kept saying you should all buy free range. Its a bit like the bible bashers you get in town squares sometimes, they talk **** very loudly despite that you're not interested and get annoyed when you question why their opinions are superior.

I probably wouldn't eat these myself, but its a damn good price for what they are. Heat and rep added, just ignore anyone trying to force their views on you.

Good price, I am not dissing the deal but here is my recipe for pork burgers if you want to make your own. Really simple, very quick, and very tasty.

Take some pork mince, mix in some finely chopped onion, a grated apple and some chili and garlic. Season with lots of black pepper. Shape into burgers and cook in the usual way. We are having them for tea tonight.

I'm not bothered about the meat content, afterall, it's still edible food.

My main concern with this deal is that if it has Reduced To Clear stickers on there then it is more than likely a store specific deal.
#13
They are in my local store (Stafford), there have been loads of bargains over the last few weeks and almost all for 75p. They just have one freezer they keep restocking, mainly old xmas stuff but I've had loads of party food which has come in useful for birthdays already.

that is completely against how the voting system works. Its not meant to be on whether you like the product. Itshot if its the best price only on the day of the deal.

Then again, that means you could only vote hot on own brand products or not vote at all :w00t:

A bit of a catch 22 here.

Anyway, back on topic

Great price if you like slurry burgers :)

Or we could all neg every apple product cos we don't like iTunes?

Personally, only way to see how someone has voted is if we had to choose a reason we vote cold.

Personally I prefer people voting to give their opinion. For example, I recently purchased some headphones and even though the items posted on HUKD are usually the cheapest, the ones I wanted were cold and there were good reasons as to why.

So I prefer people voting taking all options into consideration (price being one of them).

Isn't common sense great, hurrah for all rounded common sense.

Just to back the above, price alone does not alone in my opinion determine if a deal is hot, other factors are involved too, some of those factors will have personal judgements/prejudices/discrminations from everyone, all unique to each and every one of us.

To try and mute all of us who want to express our opinion you merely give weight to the companies who want all consumer forums/comments/feedbacks like this, shut down, if they had their way consumers would never talk to each other about their products in anything but a praiseful way, they are fast evolving, plenty of news articles about companies posting positive reviews of their own products/websites.

So, if you have something to say, be it praise, criticism or agreement or stanch opposal, just apply some common sense with regard to any deal and please let us know :-D

More information/opinion is best not less!

Surely you research what you buy, not just buy on price alone? If something here looks like a good deal, I google it to see if the product is any good. If people vote something cold because they don't like it, especially food, surely that means deals get less publicity because of someones personal taste? If taste has to be considered, making people leave a comment to give a score would certainly help, at least that way we see why they voted that way.

Alternatively, does anyone know a similar site to hotukdeals that does work on price alone?

Kelkoo or even google pal.

I use HUKD both to get best price and reviews of the product (and stockist) etc. I still look elsewhere too as if I stuck to this website, I would never have bought a mac (as most people vote cold due to jealousy and thinking best components = better experience) but for most things, this website is spot on.

If it only had the cheapest items on here, what's the point of voting at all? Someone should post an item and others should state if it's cheaper elsewhere

Bloody hell. These are decent quality burgers, and you've all voted cold. You'll get salmonella - burgers should always be hot....

The problem is what if its an item you want, but many others think a more expensive one is better? You can't use the hot deals anymore, you have to go through every deal, despite it being a good price for the product you want. I think you should leave any comments you want, but vote on the price. If something is a good price for an item I wouldn't buy I just don't vote, makes sense to me?

But it doesnt always have the cheapest items, hence the voting system! :w00t:

Which is what they do now
