Why not buy a car socket USB thingy from Poundland and while you're there, pick up a £1 USB hub extender and introduce them to each other!

Current is limited on a single socket so it will take 4 times longer to charge if you have 4 devices plugged in !

cause ur car USb charger thingi is limited to 500mA only. So when you introduce it to the USB HUB, each port will effectively have 125mA current available only. In this deal, each USB has 500mA and the carsocket as what ever is left directly from the car (depending of what ur Car lighter supports).

Good deal.. great for charging a lot of kit at the same time!

The whole point of this device is that it is small and compact and has the capacity to charge more than one device at a time. The best you will get from your suggestion is a 500mA split between all your devices and then loads of dangly wires everywhere

Of course you can do everything cheaper than innovative products, such as wiring direct to your battery with a zenner diode in series, of course it works but would you really want to? :-)

wow - 20% quidco as well

Edit

Ok it doesn't allow you to add the code if you go through Quidco so.....

if you first go to the site without going through quidco and add to basket with code then.....

go through quidco and it then has it already in your basket at the reduced promo rate....

hopefully it will track.

Just bought 2, Best use zoombits code ( newsale20) for instant extra 20% discount but zoombits will not allow if you came via quidco. Quidco is also 20% but you would have to wait for it. Warmed it up!
#11
Quidco just tracked at £1.39 - so if it pays it'll work out as £5.57

Looks bulky though, and do you really need 4 USB sockets?

It would seem that people must want it or else why would it be designed and it was probably more cosmetically pleasing to make it with 4 rather than 2 as that is all I need

Would one of these gizmos charge an iPhone via the standard iPhone USB lead? I already have a car USB adaptor but whilst it powers other devices, it won't charge the iPhone. Anyone got an idea what's going on?

I have the same problem with my Wife's ipod touch as it would seem you need to be plugged into a PC. I dont know how they know or what the difference is other than there is 2 wires missing

Edit...
Actually, I have just looked at the spec, it states that it is compatible with the following
Apple iPhone Apple iPhone 3G Apple iPhone 3GS

OK, I put 2 of these & some other items in my basket & added the 20% off code.
I then went to the site again through quidco & the items were still in my basket with a message saying I couldn't use the 20% code as I came through a cashback site, but the price was still at the discounted level.
I then paid the discounted price & the order all went through OK & has now been sent to dispatch.
I then just received a tracking confirmation from quidco, so lets see if it pays out.

Received mine yesterday. Works perfectly! Got the USB cable for my phone, plugged it in and works like a proper in-car phone charger would.
