I've just done a little shopping at tesco and i needed some light bulbs.
I spotted the mini spiral energy saving light bulbs @ £1.96 each or 4 for £1.96.
4 for the same price as 1 (daft i know)
Went to the self checkout and they went through at £2.00 each for 2 of them and £1.96 each for the other 2, after checking my receipt the items had a star next to them suggesting they were in a multi buy so took them back to the customer service desk who checked all the price tickets and then said yeah that's fine we will refund the difference x 2.
Got £12 Back.
So to break it down
At the self checkout Purchase
2 x 15w(75w) Tesco greener living mini spiral energy saving light bulbs. (£2.00 each)
2 x 12w(60w) Tesco greener living mini spiral energy saving light bulbs. (£1.96 each)
Total £7.94 ( but should be £1.96 )
Take them and your receipt to the customer service for your refund of £5.98 x 2 (£11.96)
£11.96 minus £7.94 paid equals £4.02 cash
Plus the 4 bulbs for nothing
This was in the wath upon dearne store and not sure about others but these mishaps tend to be in most stores.
Every little helps!!
