Morrisons have an offer of 4 tins for £1 on various beans such as cannellini, black eye, borlotti etc which range from 27p to 40p per tin. The till refunds 60p every fourth tin that it counts regardless of the individual cost of the tins. Consequently four tins of borlotti beans which are normally 27p each only cost 48p. As I much prefer Borlotti beans to red kidney beans in my Mexican dishes this was a bargain to me.

Personally I much prefer red kidney beans for a chilli con carne or other dish but if you like Barlotti then yes definately a bargain at 12p a tin so gave you a hot vote. Thanks for posting.

Thanks for your post :)

what is the difference between the two beans? is Burlotti tastier?

Barlotti beans are smaller that a red kidney bean and have a softer brownish coloured skin. I find that these two properties make it easier to get them down kids. Tins are 300g

I am new to this site and this was my first posting. Therefore I was surprised to find that the title of my posting has been changed. The new title is factually incorrect so don't blame me. Only the 27p beans work out at 12p each.
