This 4x4 Off Road taster will give you both the opportunity to get behind the wheel and tackle the rough terrain within a 12 acre site, including various hills, descents, side slopes and cross-axles. You will experience the fun, exhilaration and sheer adventure of 4x4 driving. The challenging course will test your driving skills to the limit as you navigate the steep climbs, drops and gullies.

What happens on the day
After a briefing and an introduction to the vehicles, it is time for some hands-on driving. With help from your instructor you will quickly develop the skills needed to tackle this challenging course in one of the centre’s Land Rover vehicles. All sessions are shared, with a maximum ratio of four drivers to one instructor, this means each participant will ride as a passenger and observe whilst others take the wheel.
Need to know:
Minimum age: 17 (under 18’s need parental/guardian consent)
Minimum height: 5’0”
Maximum height: 6’4”
Maximum weight: 18 stone
All drivers must hold a current full UK Driving Licence which must be presented on the day
You should be in reasonable health and agile enough to climb into the vehicle
The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary according to venue
Please note : there should be no alcohol consumed either before or during the experience
Your voucher is valid for nine months from the date of issue, kindly note that you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date as vouchers may not be extended beyond their expiration date
Courses take place on selected Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year
Please allow 2 hours for your visit. The actual time spent participating is 25 minutes
Spectators are welcome, but please be aware that viewing is restricted to specific areas, and not all the course can be seen. Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times, however it is not really suitable for young children
On some days there may be the opportunity for passenger rides for spectators at the end of the session. If available these are charged at £10 per person
Please dress for the outdoors! Warm clothes if it’s cold, light footwear, trainers or walking boots are good, and a waterproof jacket. Long trousers are a good idea even if it’s hot
