With a 40” screen and full HD display this Digihome TV not only produces a brilliant and vibrant picture but is fantastic value for money.
The 1920x1080 resolution screen features direct LED backlighting which ensures a crisp and sharp image. And, whilst the quality of the picture is paramount, this isn’t the only great feature of this TV.
Freeview HD
There is no need to pay for expensive subscription services as this TV is preinstalled with Freeview. This gives the viewer completely free and unrestricted access to over 50 TV channels including many in full HD. And, as a bonus, there are also over 20 radio stations included in the Freeview package.
So Versatile
With this set you’re not just restricted to watching TV. With its USB and HDMI ports there are so many other ways in which you can use this television.
With the USB port you can connect any USB 2.0 device to the screen. This means you connect your digital camera or flash drive and display your photos on the big 40” screen. Great for showing off your holiday snaps.
The HDMI slot enables a HD device such as a Blu-ray player to be connected to the TV. Alternatively this is the slot to which you can connect a Sky HD box allowing an even wider choice of high definition entertainment.
Ideal For Any Room
This 40” Digihome HD TV is perfect for any size of room. The screen is large for a great viewing experience but it isn’t so big that it will overwhelm a small room such as student digs. Neither will it be lost in a large living room.
And, the backlit DLED screen ensures a vivid picture from any viewing angle. This, combined with Nicam Stereo surround sound, generates a real movie going experience for the viewer.

Exactly. I could also never commit to purchasing this without knowing the dimensions of the remote. Schoolboy error omitting that crucial detail.

3d tv that was on offer doesn't have freeview Hd
#13
Looks like the celcus tv that sainsburys have

I received this today. The freeview HD is great (clear and blur free) but not sure about the standard definition. The colours probably need a bit of adjusting and you need to turn the sharpness down. The surprise was that the sound is great too with dynamic bass turned on although it doesn't go particularly loud. Well worth the money.

I plan on playing Xbox / ps4 on this, just as an avid gamer tv needed a couple of times a week, would this be a decent option?

Standard Freeview will always look poor on any screen over 32" due to very low bitrate. Say thank you to ofcom.

A word of warning when buying anything electrical from ebuyer, they have the worst return service, after a week or so, they expect you to deal with the manufactures directly with any problems or faults, they simply dont want to know, they may be cheap and I do buy a lot from them, but things like TV that can go wrong easily can turn into a nightmare, I have been burned a few times by them and its not fun when something that is 2 weeks old goes wrong, I had to sent my faulty unit to Czech for a replacement, footing the postage and then have to wait 2 weeks.

Got mine today no problem, polite Yodal driver also.

Wait wasn't this TV originally advertised as having Netflix though?
Guess i'll have to use my Android device connected via slimport instead.
MotorsTV "isn't it a free non subscription channel?" & the BBCiplayer do nothing either, the only internet stream i'm getting is a advertisement preview for VuTV, kinda renders the ethernet port useless unless their adding free channels viewable via TVPlayer. All the Connect 1-4 channels are gone now too?
You need a conditional access module to unencrypt sky sports 1 & 2 also? where do I get one of these?, is it the same as the old TopUpTV card?
Overall i'm happy with it, watched friday practice 1 on bbc2 hd this morning and flicked back to bbc2 sd and you can instantly notice graining around the edges the text osds, not sure if the on track feed was hd but the cars travelling looked grainy in hd also whilst the pits and interview feed where hd, could notice Susie Wolff dimples around her eyebrows lol

Got mine too. For £200 is superb.. Wimbledon and World Cup on Freeview HD are excellent.

Received this today. Only praise for it so far. Could have done with another HDMI port perhaps but the picture is stunning (compared to my old CRT thing) and the audio isn't that bad. Get some external speakers if you want some half decent sound. Only minor complaint is the remote is a little fiddly. And no idea what the reviewer above is taking about re. netflix and bbc iplayer. As far as I can tell there is no function for the ethernet port on the back, there's nothing on the menu etc.

Ebuyer seem to have gone downhill in terms of order processing / delivery since I've last used them- was meant to be delivered on friday but didn't seem to ship until then. Called customer services and was told their systems were down so they couldn't check anything and by the time I got round to phoning them back they had closed for the weekend. Quality of the TV/price of it makes up for it though.

All credit to Yodel though - knew I would be in after 2.30pm today (saturday) and wrote a note on the door to say so. Got home to find a card on the doorstep (groan) but the guy must have read the note and came back!

When you press the red button on bbc sd channels it gives you an extra option called "connected red button" which is suppose to give you the bbciplayer, but as soon as you press it gives you a black screen, I read on the bbc site that it's only supported by certain manufactors
http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/latestnews/2014/crb-new-platforms
http://www.bbc.co.uk/aboutthebbc/insidethebbc/whatwedo/redbuttondevices/
because it needs a constant connection to their server / web protocol rather than just streaming a mpeg2/4 file, probably needs html5, javascript or flash support also, maybe Digihome / Vestel will issue a software update.

MotorsTV
Sonlife
Vintage
Propeller TV
Racing UK
are streaming fine for me now must of been a poorer connection earlier in the day.

Also has anybody managed to get the hidden record function working? supposively you connect a usb 2.0/3.0 hdd or stick over 1GB FAT32 formatted whilst it's turned off and then it searches for it and unlocks the feature once turned back on.

anyone know the sky HD remote code for this set?
#26
- Sky Remote code 0065
suggests a quick google
#27
Confirmed as 0065. Hope that helps someone.

Pretty impressed with the set. Picture is fine for the money, sound nowhere near as bad as expected (think bedroom rather than living room..and you'll be ok).

Downsides - build quality is pretty awful, remote is naff, no option to have lineout and speakers simultaneously which is a bit of a shame
#29
kev2k14, how dis you get any Internet services to work? I'm LAN connected and the ip is given a good connection status but I can't find where to find any services online? I've tried the media button & the global button top right on the controller but nothing? Cheers !

It doesn't have a web browser, it just streams the freeview hd iptv channels that I listed, connected bbciplayer doesn't work either. If you goto http://www.digitaluk.co.uk it'll give you a list of the latest streamed channels available, I also had to add the tv mac address to my router for it unblock/allow access, connecting to a channel can take up to 5 tries and 2 minutes before it'll start playing, for testing try connecting to VuTV it shows a tester / advertisment page with a windowed video stream.

I want to see if the recorder feature unlocks as well but I don't have a usb 2.0 stick over 1gb, i've been looking around and it seems the fastest 3.0, backwards 2.0 compatible sticks are the cheap / nasty plastic Lexar s23 and the Kingston HyperX DataTraveler at twice the price, both are rated around 30MB/s read/write for usb 2.0.
SDXC 600x might also work in a card reader, I tried it with a 8gb sdhc class4 nothing unlocked for recording though I was able play 720p videos fine but 1080p videos lagged like crazy.

Thanks for that I'll give it a try, I've got a 4tb usb drive hooked up to an asus nu-16 running tomato firmware supporting usb and dlna streaming, I noticed this tv was supporting dlna support but has since been removed? I've put this tv in a bedroom so I'll try it wired with a dd-wrt router as a wifi repeater to the asus tomato router linked to the main modem to see if this will stream movie/music files later as I originally hoped it would

Did you try contacting Vestel?

I've found what looks to be the firmware if somebody knows how to hack it / unlock the read only service menu locked on options 3.
17MB95 is the motherboard. I've followed the instructions to install the firmware via usb but it always fails after pressing menu 1505 maybe I haven't named the .bin file properly or something?
