Just went for a look round Lidl and picked up an absolute bargain. 40 Litre compost for just £1.49, think its been reduced from the already low price of £1.99.

Great idea for sorting out the garden this summer. Pretty sure this will be nationwide as well. Hope this helps out all of those with green fingers.

Enjoy :)

I think Homebase and a lot of places normaly do a deal of 4 or 5 bags for a tenner. I suppose this is better?

this should be 1.49 unless reduced again, they have this stuff and peat free in a smaller (denser though) bag for same

Great deal.

Depends on the quality of the compost. The cheap stuff from the likes of B&Q et al is pretty much hopeless. The nutrients in the cheaper stuff are exhausted after maybe a fortnight or so.

Personally I use this stuff and it is a lot finer and less woody than the likes of arthur bowers, b&Q own, focus own etc.

It is like what compost should be like IMHO.

I will be stocking up! Deal!

Thanks OP!
