I've got the 32 inch version. Good TV.

"Full HD at a price you can afford

Packed with high-quality technology from Sony and delivering pictures in incredible Full High Definition, the EX401 guarantees you a stunning viewing experience. It's the essential Full HD TV.

Key benefits of the Sony KDL40EX401U

Get the detailed picture
Full High Definition gives you an amazing audiovisual experience - an incredible five times more definition and detail than standard television pictures, with amazing sound quality to match. It will change the way you watch TV and movies forever.

Choose your own entertainment
With a USB Media Player and four HDMI connections, you can do much more than just watch TV. It's easy to listen to your favourite music, view photos, watch videos or plug in High Definition devices like a Blu-ray Disc Player or PLAYSTATION3.

See the best picture & save money
Use the Light Sensor on this model and it will automatically detect the brightness of the room and optimise the picture for best viewing results. Turn the lights down low and the picture dims too. You can relax in an ideal viewing atmosphere while saving energy and money too."

It might get more interest if you stick the screen size in the header. ie: 40"

It's already posted as a deal from Currys and Argos for as low as £375 but I can't remember if that deal has expired or not.

Thanks for the link anyway.

That better be a joke...... Yeh I wont touch a tv either if it doesnt have atlease 2500hz at under 400 quid!
#16
Not bad.

Need to get one to use in our meeting room with a PC. Can connect with HDMI, so that's all good. Just wonder what the quality/flicker will be like given the 50Hz... Any comments?

Tried to get this from Currys via the price match of Argos, but Argos sold out in every area i tried! Thanks for this, ordered for daddy for christmas, yep its going to be late, but so is nearly every other item i ordered in advance too!! Thanks snow!!

I viewed the 403 & 503 side by side and the pan judder was awful on the 50Hz.
#28
very basic 40inch tv, 50Hz, lots of judder on this size avoid. you are better going for a kdl40ex503, 100Hz model.
