200g refill packs of Waitrose Gold Instant Coffee are £3.87 and on an 'Add 2 get 2nd half price Cheaper Item Half Price' offer.

These packs are also included in Waitrose Pick Your Own (PYO) offers

This means that if you buy 2 packs, you get discounts of £1.94 and £1.56, leaving £4.24 to pay. Obviously this equates to paying £2.12 for 200g / £1.06 for 100g

This is listed 100% Arabica, strength 3 instant coffee. It's not the best, but at the price it's good enough.

I bought a pack last week. This coffee is really NOT nice. I'm to tight to throw it out and can't be bothered to return it, so I guess I'll suffer it It may still end up in bin though. I'm not a. coffee snob and usually buy Douwe Egberts pure gold.

For people who prefer real coffee, there are equally good deals on 227g packs of Waitrose cafetière Italian or French coffee blends.

The packs are £2.59 each and included in both the Add 2 get 2nd half price and PYO offers. So you get 2 packs for £3.36, equating to £1.68 each.

Fair comment. As I said, I don't think this coffee is the best and I can see why some people would prefer to pay more for better coffee.
