First post, with pics of product & receipt. Come on, gotta get some heat just for that lol !

Just spotted these and the 400ml can was right next to them @ £6.50 each.

So a bit stupid not to pick these ones up instead.

Pic of receipt is not very clear, but I bought 6 of them for £2.50 each (family & friends cars)

Amazing deal!

Although use this as a last resort, as some tyre places will not repair punctures if you have used this stuff. Another alternative is, "slime" although you will need a pump (I would recommend "Ring" voted top auto express) or some air cannisters. Slime washes off, so tyre places will repair your puncture.

Why do you need so much tyre weld? Anyway, doesn't using this mean buying a new tyre and wheel rim, which for me would be about £180. You can only use it for a short distance can't you??
#8
You do not have to buy a new rim, maybe just a tyre, depending on tyre fitting station.
#9
No you do not need to replace the tyre.............

"Holt Tire Sealant seals and inflates punctured tyres instantly. The Tyre Weld is made from a water based latex formula that does not damage the tyre. It can be easily washed out with warm water prior to a tyre repair."

Its not that they wont, its that they cant. The puncture repair procedure some use is not compatible with this stuff. Those that use the rubber patches on the inside of the tyre cannot use that repair if this stuff has been used.

tried to use some of this a year ago, my car was converted to LPG and therefore i lost my spare wheel (the gas tank goes there) anyway i get a puncture, follow the instructions and carefully screw onto the valve, when it attempted to discharge the foam into my tyre it simply leaked out of the valve.

Might want to mention that to your "friends and family".

I used to get them to put an inner tube inside the tyre.

Thanks, and I will warn them, and yes, it really is for friends and family. Two cars in my household and then one each for two sisters and two other friends.

Didn't realise we had to have a limit on how many people we know or can buy things for !

"Holts tyreweld has been designed as a temporary repair in order get you home/to the garage, and is only recommended as such by Holts".

"Holts Tyreweld is the only Tyre sealant on the market to receive endorsement from the National Tyre Distribution Association (NTDA), this is due to the product being a water based latex emulsion".

"Which can be simply washed out of the tyre using warm soapy water, and then following British Standards for tyre repair (AU:159) any dried remnants can be removed with a buffing wheel to ensure good adhesion of the repair patch".

"Regarding permanent repair, Holts have an agreement in place with all 205+ National Tyre & Autocare branches (who are the second largest tyre repair company in the UK) to repair any tyre treated with Tyreweld for an additional small surcharge for the added labour time - provided the puncture damage is not too severe".

No, they're just being lazy/trying to make money from selling you a new tyre !

I prefer FlatFree http://www.flatfree.com/ffqa.html and have used it for a number of years and have never had a flat tyre.

Why wait so long for a van to turn up ?

I could change all four tyres before the majority of breakdown services would get to you.
#18
I bought one the other day for the same price, went back today and saw them for £1.25! Still had a few left on the shelf, Wigan ASDA.
