A great deal. I buy a lot of plants like this. They come enclosed in special plastic trays and will need opening and dealing with straight away otherwise the plants will yellow and die. I usually pot them on into flower pots / trays to let them grow more before planting out in the garden. If you plant the small plants straight in the garden as they are then you may lose a few. Lavender likes free-draining soils in full sun and is ideal for chalky or alkaline soils. On heavier soils, like clay, lavender tends to be fairly short-lived becoming woody at the base. Gardening lesson over :)

Being pedantic, how is it free?

Orders containing non-seed items
Non-seed items normally have a single £4.95 postage and packaging charge per order no matter how many items are ordered (to one address - UK only).

"42 standard plugs" says on the site.

What spacing do you plant these? Trying to figure out if it would be enough for a flower bed in front of a bay window - not being green fingered and all!

Is that per plant? Seems quite a wide spread! Anyway, ordered 42 - hope the wife approves since she's the one more inclined towards garden stuff!

Thanks!
