Seen a 42" Philips in store and went to look for it on their site and found this instead, seems like quite a good deal, also my first deal :)

not really a super deal, the price of the 720 lcd are dropping in price massively , i would be dissapointed if i paid anymore for one than this.

It's resolution is 1024x768 - for Full HD you need 1920x1080 :thumbsup:

Would this be able to display 1080i though? Also is there alot of difference between 1080p and 1080i/720p, Thanks.

100 hertz looks interesting, although I can't find a review that says anything recommending this set despite it looking one of the cheapest way into an established brand with these specs and screen size.
