Quidco=2%
Capitalone card=4% (new customers ony I believe)

Of course it's cheaper without the warranty, but it's your choice.

The Quidco and capitalone gets another £30ish off, if you have a recently acquired card.

Hope this gives something back to a great forum.

I bought this for my internet-challenged brother and wanted to share. It's not arrived yet, before anyones asks.

Order before the 31st - the code won't apply until checkout.

If people are just going to post cold feedback, they should at least post why.

People that are taking the time out to post deals (not a quick process) take longer than those that vote cold and at least deserve an answer.

This forum is about posting deals and gaining feedback and knowledge from other users regarding possible deals.

I personally thought this was a good deal to be had, especially with the warranty that usually costs in excess of £150 elsewhere.
Still, there's no pleasing some people!

wont let me vote hot but will when working its a good price altho when you are talking 42" tvs plasmas are much better so if you can use all vouchers to either buy a 37" lcd or less or a 42" plasma instead it would be worth it

i personally bought the 42" plasma from john lewis for 670 pounds (with 5 YEAR warranty so cant complain)

Good call on the plasma - I bought a 50" Samsung myself. Still think this is a cracking deal though, especially when you consider the warranty. Curry's, Comet, Dixons and most other retailers only offer a one year (although they also want a regular fee per month for their own warranty, which also runs in conjunction with the manufacturers own one year warranty).

What a rip off that is...

Cheers for that. I don't mind the cold votes as such, but please state why it's cold and enlighten us!

Perhaps it's laziness or that that particular deal isn't for them, but I see a lot of this when people post deals.

Yes but its a FAR BIGGER price.....

You can save yourself £30 by collecting from an Empire Direct store...

Am I correct in saying that no-one is actually broadcasting in 1080p at the moment?, that includes SKY?.
I cant remember where I read it, but due to the actual cost of broadcasting in such high quality certain TVs will be under using their potential.

Correct, But folks with Xbox360/PS3 and Blu-ray/HD-DVD Players and also PC then any cheap 1080p capable LCD's is a welcome option. I have an older LG 32LC2DB which has been great and if I had the money I would go for this screen.

Also have the 1080p LG lcd for £799 minus voucher. With the vouchers is a pretty decent price.
