I'm still digging hard to see the ugliness, but thats my opinion though ;-)
#12
I've got a 32" teco and its a great quality Tv but the case is a bit different lol...
#13
Don't think there's owt particularly ugly about it tbh.
#14
My first impression was that it looked quite good. Hang on I cant believe I actually bothered logging on to stick up for a television. :giggle:

Nowt wrong with the contrast ratio there. Panels offering 4-digit constrast ratios cheat to get their figure by varying the backlight brightness depending on the scene, which looks offensively bad, and in some cases, cannot be disabled. 800:1 is good.

That's very good. Two inches smaller, but built in freeview (and a lot nicer looking). I really wish I hadn't seen that, because I can't really afford it :p

Looks like a different version you have posted, the TV in the offer looks different. Its all black.
edit: Infact on the website they have 3 different designs.

I'd always pay that extra £150-200 for a branded product with good reviews and a good warranty.

Agreed, this set is hideous.
#29
Cheapest price around for a 42"...
definitely HOT!
#30
I have the 40" model, the look is similar but I suspect the picture is making the 42" worse thanks to a bad camera flash, the light grey surround is actually a lot darker and that funny light coloured stripe at the bottom is just black which I suspect is reflecting a camera flash.
The remote is white with grey buttons (excluding fast text colours) and looks ok, you'll not find it in a museum but it does it's job. The only complaint I have with it is that you can't assign inputs to numbers on the remote, instead you have to cycle through each with an HD/SD button (one for each set).

i bought 1 of these tvs a couple of months ago the 40" lcd from aria for £465 inc del and i have got to say how impressed i am with it. The contrast ratio is 1200:1 as stated If anyone is thinking of buying 1 go for it, it is a samsung panel it comes with a 2yr teco warranty. You expect £600+ for same spec branded product. The quality of the picture for this price is v good you will not be dissapointed.

When Lada's were still about, did you seriously think 'cheapest car about - good deal!" ?

I've read a few things about Teco panels being decent enough - but they aren't up there with the big boys in terms of build quality and picture and sound quality...

Beware when you place an order with this company who will sell you goods that are not in stock and will inform you that the goods have been dispatched then email and tell you they arent in stock and are going to refund in 5 days, great way of them making money with no outlay to them. Custmoer services take ages to get through to and arent prepared to help or honour sales. Waste of time and one to be avoided, cheap prices but no stock to sell!!!!
