43" Samsung PS43D490 3DTV £359 with code 3DTV10 @ BestBuy
Samsung PS43D490 43" Plasma HD Ready 3D TVThe Samsung PS43D490 43" PDP TV brings you incredibly realistic pictures that jump out of the 43” plasma screen and into your living room. With the Samsung PS43D490 43" PDP TV you’re put right in the heart of all the action.
The TV is HD Ready, so you can watch all of your favourite films and programmes in high-quality. On top of that, Samsung have integrated a number of picture-enhancing technologies that take your viewing experience to the next level.
Samsung’s HyperReal engine is used to sharpen up images and make colours detailed and vivid, while Wide Colour Enhancer Plus improves image quality by distinguishing between subtle tones and colours, so that what you see on screen is truly life-like. The Samsung PS43D490 43" PDP TV also comes with a 600Hz frame rate, so fast-moving images display on the 43” screen crisply and fluidly.
Films look just how they did at the cinema, with 24p technology on-board, slowing the frame rates down to the level the director intended. A built-in Freeview tuner ensures that everyday programming is delivered via a high-quality digital signal.
2D content on the Samsung PS43D490 43" PDP TV looks great, but to experience the best that the TV has to offer you’ll need to don your 3D glasses (sold separately) and watch a 3D film, programme or sporting event. This is when the action really comes to life, with pictures jumping out of the screen and into your front room. Using Samsung’s 2D/3D conversion technology, you can even watch some of your favourite 2D films in 3D, giving them a whole new lease of life.
With four HDMI inputs, you can connect up an HD set-top box, games console and Blu-ray player, and experience special 3D sporting events, 3D computer games and the latest 3D blockbusters. Other connectivity options include Samsung’s AllShare system, which allows you to stream videos, photos and music from your computer onto your TV, without the need for any wires. It makes sharing your holiday snaps with friends and family, and playing music and movies to groups of people much easier. There’s also a USB port built into the PS43D490 43" PDP TV, so if someone turns up to your house with something to watch or listen to, you can put that content straight onto your TV with minimal fuss.
The Samsung PS43D490 43" PDP TV features Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) too, which makes it easy to control all of your HDMI connected devices from one controller. You can integrate AV receivers, Blu-ray players and home theatre audio units and switch them on and off, play and record at the touch of a button.
