-45% on Boros La Scala 36-litre polycarbonate cabin luggage - £49.00 delivered
This is the roomiest cabin luggage I've found! And at £49 (down from £89), it's also the cheapest "bendy" carbon hard-sided case around, same price as Debenhams' Tripp but better specs.
With airlines charging for checked luggage, this is your best option for a short holiday break. Even for other airlines, travelling light saves you lots of time on the baggage drop and reclaim. Land and walk out...

For information, RyanAir (with a max. load of 10kg) and EasyJet allow items up to 55x40x20cm (this one flattens a bit if need be but they hardly ever check), and most other airlines up to 56x45x25cm.
As a comparison, the Tripp Bronze cabin luggage at Debenhams is 57x40x23cm, therefore bulkier for 2 litres less at 3.4l. It is 400g lighter at 3.2kg but features only 2 wheels (not spring-loaded) and doesn't have the TSA lock so if you ever fly it to the US as a checked luggage, either you leave the case unlocked or you take the chance of having the lock destroyed by security agents.
We have both suitcases at home and honestly I find the Boros much nicer and better finished, and I don't like the wobbly zipper on the Tripp which lets the lid move around. Just let me know if you have any questions...
[edit] Online only, I tried my luck in the local shop but they couldn't price-match their own website. Even if you need it quick, it's still much cheaper to order online with next-day delivery (£6.99). Oh, and no Quidco as they're not participating.
