Just used best buy's price promise to get them to price match a 45W magsafe charger. Now at first i was not aware i could get best buy to price match anything online, when i learnt that this was possible i found the cheapest 45W magsafe i could. http://www.studentcomputers.co.uk have the 45W version for £20.41, so i asked at best buy and they matched it great deal in my opinion but only available while student computers have stock so be quick :)

In summary best buy now price match online great for any user of this site.
AND you can get a 45W charger for a macbook for £18 how can you say no.

hmm amazed you got them to price match a third party adapter with presumably a genuine apple one..

I'm not 100% sure that the OP is saying it is a 3rd party Magsafe from http://www.studentcomputers.co.uk

Great deal.

I am not sure if its third party or not but they did not seem interested in that i showed them the site on my phone and the price and they just went straight over and sorted it for me. Tbh if nothing else i would say if it is third party i got very lucky and worth a shot to see if you can too. I rang customer service they said it was fine and that guy went to the site himself. So i either got lucky twice in a row or its not third party. (well or they dont care/dint notice.)

I'm surprised magsafe isn't used more in other connectors e.g. usb or theunderbolt (or even on the iphone docking connector).

Apple have patented the wazoo out of it.
