I was just going to post this, so thanks as I couldn't do a picture. Anyway, I bought 10 of these yesterday for my loft, they are great so I am going to go back for more today and do a really good tidy job. :)

how much weight can these hold as the ones i have currently just crack if moved with any sign of weight in them

Can't tell you in kg but they are VERY strong - mine are filled with files/paperwork and stacked 4 high. Because of the way the lids are designed, attached and interlock they become part of the boxes strength and prevent the bowing out that this kind of storage system often suffers from. I've bought over 20 in the past from Costco (who are normally cheaper, but not at the moment) and will buy more without hesitation.

Thanks a million - I am moving offices next week! The stock checking facility on the website is great!

Just got 13 from Home Base in Bristol. The intention was to buy 10, but there where £10 off vouchers in the store if you spent £50 or more. So for £42 we got 13 crates which works out at 3.23 each. I believe the vouchers are vaild until 25th January.

ASDA @ Livingston had exact same crates for £4

Biggest pile of **** you will ever have the mispleasure of storing things in. They are brittle and break easily and my mate who I helped move found his cracked and stuff came through the boottom just moving them around and they weren't particuarly full of heavy of things. Be warned!

Wilkinson's have same but bigger 80litre boxes @ £4.50
Sold out online but still around in stores, bought 3 yesterday.

These things are really brittle. The ones I had for storing my kids toys are all broken.........................

The crate is quite tough though not to impact so don't drop them from any height. The main weakness with these is the hinge system is very weak indeed. Haven't used them for much more than toys and the hinges break very easily.

Saw some of these in Wilkinsons when I was stacking up on crates. They are fragile and quite a few were damaged on the shelves.
