Can anyone tell me if I use one of these, can I fit in the HDMI cable at the same time? (I currently do this: http://www.chadledford.com/?p=50 which works ok, but causes my xbox to restart when the tv source is changed)

I just want a nice way of connecting HDMI and optical at the same time you see...

cheers,

Great price. Paid £15 quid for this from Game a few weeks ago.

The picture on Amazon does not show the VGA version? It shows the standard one which comes with the Xbox??

The description sounds like the VGA version.

Will order anyway as £2.91 is pretty cheap.

Hot.

The photos aren't mine, they are what I found when trying to conenct optical and HDMI, and came in very handy! apparently you can stop the xbox restarting problem by cutting a black wire inside the case of the adapter, but I haven't tried it yet (you can find a lot of info on the net about it)

With mine being a monitor and not a TV though it shouldn't happen should it?

Hey I don't know whether there is any way to check with Amazon about this. The VGA cable is also listed but the description sounds like the component cable? Tad confusing.

Looks like the Descriptions are mixed up,not the pics. The other cable has reviews (which arent linked ot the pics nor descriptions, but the item itself) and they all describe the VGA cable.

So other item = VGA. This one = Component.

Shame really, as Id have bought one. Still hot though for those that have the arcade system and want to upgrade.

I'm in the same position, and I was NOT going to buy the official one (cheapest I could find was £25 but I can't remember where from):
http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-HDMI-AV-Cable/dp/B000UODATY

I bought a cable from someone's Premium on ebay and butchered it in the Chadledford way. It works brilliants, ugly as hell though. I've not tried cutting the black wire, but as I'm only using it with my 360 it's not a big deal.

If this cable will fit with the HDMI cable plugged in, this deal is even better.

Abolutely not. You can get a component cable for the old xbox off ebay for about £9 inc.

I would agree, this deal has not got 360 to VGA input on it.

It is VGA out to composite, which is different.

Looks like Amazon screwed up. No wonder it is so cheap, no one is buying because its is not as described.

si i assume this isnt compatible for premium 360s over 2 years old?

This is compatible for all 360s, its HDMI connections which are only for 360s from Q4 2007 onwards.

it's about £2/£3, don't waste your money on postage. Look for something in this thread or just browse yourself and make the order over £5 and the p&p will be free (i went for war of the worlds at £2.99)

Hi everyone, not quite as good a deal but ebay item no. 220342933391 is £3.19 + £1.99 postage. It also has a best offer option - I offered £3 to make it £4.99 total and this was instantly accepted. You may be able to get it even cheaper (please post if you do).

This guy is in the UK and have good feedback for this item, hope this helps someone
