Amazing isn't it?

Exactly 24 months ago I bought a 512MB CF card from Scan, for £32.99

Seems cheap, but never heard of the brand.

Think I'll stick with my Sandisk Extreme CF cards which are only twice the price of these and I would definately trust more..

Yeah, memory prices change. I used to think my 256Mb datastick was great. Branded CF cards are still more expensive than this one though.

if youre wanting this for a camera, fork out the extra and get a sandisk extreme III (or IV if you can afford it)

after buying a couple of cheap cards, i regret wasting my money. performance (and reliability) is a major PITA compared to sandisk extreme cards.

poor deal, 7 day shop were doing 16GB CF for 17.99 delivered a few days ago, theyve upped it to 26.99 now.

My memory doing one for £20.99 delivered

I will quote myself on this after two years two. God Willingly

But would you use this cheap card in your camera to photograph a wedding? Or would you use a trusted reliable brand?...

Ordered thanks - Never had any problems with generic CF cards in the past...

So what? This is a thread for a FOUR GB card. That's 4GB mate, not 16GB!
People reading this this thread may not want, or need a 16GB CF card.
People reading this this thread may not want to spend £21 on a CF card.
This is a good deal for a 4GB card.
If you know of a good price for a 16GB card - good for you - start a new thread. It doesn't make THIS a "poor deal".:x

Good deal!
I like the 4GB one but not the 16GB one....Is this OK?:whistling:

Thanks for sharing... need a replacement for an old 128MB card in my mum's camera. She uses it mainly for auction pics on FeeBay so should be perfect! :-)

Tesco currently have 4gb Sandisk cards for £7.99 in store

I bought 2 generic ones for my EOS400D, totally regretted it supposed to be high speed as well. Total rubbish, they were slow and one failed. Switched to the UltraIII as above poster and far superiour. Remember these are your memories you are putting on these cards. Spend the extra pounds and buy decent

In my opinion, 4 4GB cards is far better than 1 16GB one, even for a few pounds more.

I use sandisk and have even had a couple of those corrupt on me, once whilst photographing royalty. Thankfully I was able to recver most of the images but scary time.
