Thanks for the post. I've updated it to include the delivery charge, which we always try to show here. :) It's dropped a wee bit since last posted:)

The image on the website shows X133 but the 2 I got were definately not X133 and are very slow.
#5
Yup mine were not 133 either, and were a different brand.

Yes but if a X133 is shown you would expect the other brands to be of the same specification otherwise they might as well show anything. My experiences of 7dayshop are not good having had to return items from my last 3 orders.

Mine was a dane elec but a little research shows Toshiba rebrand Dane Elec cards as there own.

As for speed I haven't noticed it to be slow in MyCanon EOS 400D and unless you take a burst of around 10 shots I doubt anyone else would notice the speed.

I do accept the point about it showing as x133 but I really wouldn't let that worry you as its a good quality card at a great price.

Can anyone do a speedtest on this and tell me what the throughput is like. Thinking of getting one to boot my OS off it.

I bought one last week to use in a PDA as the SD slot is limited to 1Gb.
Mine looks like the pic at the top, and shows in \windows\setupapi.log as :

DISKCF_4GB__________________________________20061215

So no name there then. The 133x label is stuck on.

I read 3.44gb of data in 12 min 50 sec thru a USB2 card reader using xcopy /s
I then formatted the card and wrote the same data back. That took 14 mins.

I put the card in a CF->PCMCIA adapter and performed the same operation, this time, just writing the data back. I gave up after 5 mins as it was evident it was going to be a lot slower. This could be because the adapter is a 3-4 year old one from a 1gb microdrive.

Hopefully this figures will tell you something.

found a good thread discussing the card here:

it seems like you get a selection of cards, some of which are better than others...
