Went to the local poundland in Merthyr Tydfil - Wales
In the battery section they got 4x 800 MAH Rechargable batteries!
Bought 4 packs! Brilliant!

They might be around in other poundlands too!
Have a Look!

why vote cold?..they are rechargeable..
ok..no use for hi tech users but good enough for the kiddies bits n bobs
cycle lights etc and a good way to encourage them to recharge and recycle
I think this site encourages such snobbery

I voted cold because they are such low capacity. I normally use some AA batteries that have 2700 mAh but most seem to be 2500mAh. 800mAH is pretty poor.

These will last long enough for your camera to tell you you are low on batteries!

voted hot. have bought these before. agreed, dont last as well as the expensive ones but keep the kids happy long enough with their attention spans! my local poundland didnt have these yesterday (did actually ask) so hopefully can stock up again soon.

They will be okay for cycle lights as long as you don't go out in the dark!

these are fine for when u have cordless phones that recharge cheap and not often used

plus certainly ok for remote controls

just because they are low capacity doesnt mean they do not have their uses

hot

800,000 mah if allowing for 1000 charges!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A bit cheaper than Duracells.

Being nicads they are certain to be more stable than very cheap NiMh ones.

A good value poundland item. Voted hot.

you have it the wrong way round... nicads are the ones with "memory" so u need to make sure you charge them fully each time and only change them when they are empty
