£10,but if you do what other savvy folks did last time:
Buy £100 in vouchers and get £10 voucher free,go back and buy £50 in vouchers and get £5 voucher free,go back again and buy your item with £150 of vouchers and get £10 voucher free, meaning you will then end up with £25 in vouchers for your £150 spend.

if you but 1 lot of £100 vouchers and a separate transaction for £50 of vouchers, you will get £15 in vouchers for free, when you then spend your £150 in vouchers, you will get another £10 voucher, totalling £25 in free vouchers!!

providing they have not placed any additional restrictions on this time!

edit - dang Bazr - you beat me to it!

Restrictions have been made aware to all staff, that if customer is paying with Argos Gift Vouchers then they will not qualify for the free voucher so in answer to some of the posts then NO you wont get the voucher when you pay for your goods. Or should i say you shouldnt but then again the tills have temps on them and they might not do as they should, so some may be lucky and others not.

It shouldn't really be down to whoever is on the till,it should be automatic that when you spend £100 a voucher should be issued and if the T&C's don't say you can't do this, then they are in the wrong to refuse.

It is automatic at the end of the sale to give the voucher. However i presume that they would have install new software just to make it so that it doesnt prompt after a gift voucher payment method, not 100% sure on that but we received this info after a conference call today.
Regarding the T&C they have the right to withdraw the offer at any time, but i would think that the terms have been amended to reflect the change. Although again not 100% as they arent listed at the mo

Tried this last week and the nasty winch behind counter got really snotty (almost abusive), and told me 'you can't do that'. :x I know some people have been succesful, but just be warned, they may not let you:thumbsup:

ive ordered a wii play to be collected tomoz, that is £35, but gutted that i dont need anything worth £15.
#21
Hmmm

Still got £20 in vouchers left after the last promotion. (Bought a DS, game and accessory kit for £100 - having first bought £100 gift voucher)

So are you saying that if I spend those £20 plus £30 in cash then I won't get my £5 free voucher because I paid partly using gift vouchers?

Starts 28th ....trust me go order £400 worth of items earlier today on the 27th
#23
So pleased as the shower i am buying gets reduced to half price tomorrow too so will get a free gift voucher too :)
#24
Is there any way of knowing when a sale item will go back up to full price?
#25
in answer to your question all the sale items in the flyers will have an end date.however the item could be included in the next promotion but the price could go down or increase in price that is the risk you take with sale items.
#26
Used to work for argos and this promotion always was on! anyway im sure that the T+Cs have always been weird for this! we used to get a 10% staff discount which wasnt allowed when purchasing vouchers! so i assume this wouldnt work now either! and believe me they wont have updated the software... its older than BBC computers...god, black screen and white lettering, nothing else...its terrible!!!

can u use nectar card at argos/

if memory serves, I think you can use it if you order online at Argos via the Nectar web site... but you must select home delivery... you can't use it for reserve & collect...

you can't use the nectar card instore to collect points, but you can use it to spend any points already on the card..

hope this helps

Just read the t&C:

Excludes the purchase of gift vouchers using gift vouchers as a method of payment.

I'm guessing they missed the 'or' in that statement, guess it was a rush addition

So, if I'm following this correctly:

If I wanted to buy a PS3 for £350 then you used to be able to:
Buy 3 x £100 vouchers, get £30 in vouchers back.
Buy PS3 for £330 in vouchers, and £20 in cash.
Get £35 in vouchers back.
Total Spend = £320, plus £35 in vouchers back.

So, now, can you still do the same (get a PS3 for £320) but you don't get the £35 in vouchers back?
#34
Hi
can a single transaction be more than one item or does it have to be an item over £50-00 or £100-00 to qualify

cheers

steve
#35
yes as long as your total bill is £50-£99 for £5 or £100+ for £10
one transaction means paying once - for example
you cannot go in 1 day and buy some thing for a tenner and then next day get something for £40 and ask for a voucher

Not any more... they busted us if you (and we) read the t&c posted above. I knew it was coming since it all started a while back.

That quote is a bit confusing.
The best you could do before was to have actually bought £300 in vouchers in 3 transactions and got back £30 in vouchers. Then using The £330 vouchers and £20 cash buy the PS3 and get back 1 x £10 voucher.Meaning you actually paid £320 and had 1 X £10 voucher in hand.
NOW the best you can do is pay £350 and get 1 £10 voucher free.
HTH.
