Use voucher 511LFL to get £50 off the listed price of £149.99.

Yes, I know it's a large amount of money for a torch, but that's not the point. I haven't seen this torch cheaper.

Offer ends 28th April 2010.

"some of the most exciting developments in torch technology" - LOL

not hot for me. you can buy a fantastic long lasting LED or laser torch for a tiny fraction of this price.

Terrible 'non' deal!

It may be a torch, but you will probably need something for the chill ;-)
How can a torch cost that much
#4
This is going to go very cold very quickly unless there is some super feature that hasn't been listed.

Ah. My mistake here is not realising that this site should be called www.buyadifferentproductforadifferentamount.co.uk

This is a good deal for this particular torch...........I'm not sure why people vote cold for a deal just because they wouldn't pay a certain price for a certain product.

If you're voting cold I can only assume you've found this cheaper - in which case - please post the link to where I can get it. Thanks.

I myself have this one although I would be the first to admit portability is a problem.

Not exactly your 'typical' consumer gear - for everyday use.

So whats so special about this torch at £99? Not voted either way, sounds like a good deal (33% off) if you're in the market for something like this.

I'd agree on it not being 'consumer' kit.........

Short recharge time, practically indestructible, bright..........5.11 make very good pieces of kit too.........

Still - lesson learnt.......:whistling:

It's not a good deal - it's WAY overpriced considering what you can get for the same money...

What exactly draws you to this particular product. There's plenty of honest people here who can give advice on such things.

Just trying to be helpful

There's a few major downsides to this torch.

Firstly - it's a proprietary battery pack . Considering it only lasts 120 minutes it's not going to be any use on long trips - you can't take spare batteries with you.

Sorry that was 2 points - run time too...
#13
No worries. :)

This is a £150 torch for £100, but bottom line is that it's a cold deal.

You can buy cheaper torches, you can buy different torches, but you can't buy this torch for cheaper than this.

seems cheap for the product, 90 seconds to fully recharge and 120 minutes of light.

i know a few people who would buy this, it isnt for me but heat and rep as it will possibly save at least 2 peopl ei know £50 each

I read it too quickly - £5.11 for the torch - bargain!
#16
Well here's a £1,800,000 Compact Flash Card for £20.73.

I'm calling that a bargain too :p

The big thing about this torch that most of you are missing is that it uses a huge capacitor rather than a battery to store the charge. This means a super fast recharge time. You are paying a hefty premium to be an early adopter of the technology.

However for 99.5% of users it's probably as easier and much cheaper to buy a converntional high powered LED torch and keep a few spare pre-charged batteries lying around.

Not voting, but a bargain price compared with other sites for a capacitor based torch.

IS THIS SOME KIND OF JOKE?

RufusA makes a good point - this torch uses a capacitor rather than a conventional battery. Whilst that might not make much difference to many people here, it's a bargain for what it is!
