Instructions to tip the staff? Are they having a laugh?

As stated on their site ... : '•Please remember to tip the staff to the original value as service charge isn't included.' So does that mean a £5.40 tip or £12 tip at normal price ?? Don't think I want to eat at somewhere that doesn't pay it's staff.

The tipping instruction is always included on Groupon meal offers, so is not specific to this restaurant.

It's a perfectly legitimate comment in most cases, if the meal should have cost £50 then a 10% tip would be £5 despite the fact a voucher might make it £20. In this case a £2 tip would be unfair on a good waiter, who has provided £50 worth of service.

However, in a buffet environment it is not the same level of service as an a la carte restaurant so I'm not sure the tipping should always be the same.

Oh this is so funny. Modern day dilemma, do we tip on the half price value or the full price one?

I love an American comment I once heard on television saying even if service is bad you still need to tip! Why......

....because, two wrongs don't make a right.

Classic ! X)

do NOT buy this deal - this place is shocking. The food is DISGUSTING and they are basically underhand theives! - check out the reviews for the sunday buffet at London Eating and Square Meal. This is a joke. I hope their reputation never recoveres. People who buy City vouchers are generally locals so they are trying to rip off the very people who live near them. What a bunch of cretins. I will NEVER go back and I will tell eveyone I know not to either.
