First post.

If you holiday in Turkey you really need to go self-catering.

Trust me, been there, done it.

This might seem like a bargain but we did one similar a couple of years ago; you will spend most of your time eating out at restaurants because the food in the hotels is very basic.

Balls.
Would have been perfect for me and the missus if it was available to depart on 23rd october.

The trouble is the Turkish all ins are terrible , i have lived there for the last 6 years and nearly everybody complains about the food :whistling:
#13
that's not true, it must depend on what hotel you pick. our hotel, Hemera in Side had loads of lovely food...we didn't even entertain going to one of the restaurants on the side streets!!
#14
Just a heads up, the bodrum/gumbet area ( 1-2 mile radius from the Hotel Magnific) is all being redeveloped and when we went in April, most of it looked like a war zone.

Just check that the work has been completed. Nice place to go on holiday!

£20 per person.

most of the reviews for this hotel on tripadvisor seem to be from groups ie hen/stage nights most likely. one reviewer said they had i think a hundred odd turkish students there during thier trip.
this is not the type of holiday i would enjoy probebly to old

#23
based on two sharing means its £299 each right?

Jetline travel do exist, I have just been on holiday with them, but beware their customer service is shocking should you want to change anything once they have your money.

Also after booking with them £600 was stolen from my bank account ( bank repaid it ) and the couple we travelled had 3k stolen from theirs same week as me, met several couples that has also had money taken too. Jetline refused to believe it was anything to do with them but as my card was brand new and i'd only used it with them ummm
#25
i was excited to read the title then i saw the last word "JETLINE" *shudders*

Go via TravelZoo website which looks less dodgy: http://www.travelzoo.com/uk/holidays/all-inclusive-holidays-europe/825000/

EDIT: Same phone number that needs to be phoned so I don't suppose it matters.

Jetline website is awful and I would never buy something as big as a holiday from a company with a website like that.
#27
sounds very good just told mum and dad and they are interested thanks OP heat added
#28

Dont know what seems dodgy ??? the page you have posted refers people to the same link... and as for the numbers i have posted it was given me by the agent i booked with... just thought it might save a few pennys for those calling from their mobile phones.... :whistling:

Reading into them on their site they say they are ABTA certified but sell their holidays on BEHALF of ATOL bonded agents. Not really sure what the implications are with this but something that struck me when I looked at them. Does this mean that you will not be covered under the ATOL scheme if they go under? Think it probably does.
#31
Heat & rep :-D shame i'm working then
#32
Booked! Worked out at £369 all in each from Gatwick. That includes transfers (£20 each way per person - total £80) and one bag (£40). I was told the morning flights had sold out for the 21st (the day I can go) so there was an additional £20 charge for that day.
As for cover, I have my own annual travel insurance.
I booked a holiday earlier in the year with Jetline (to Egypt) and it was grand. Fingers crossed its all good again :)
#33
Looks good, and great price...Anyone thinking of going first week in Oct.? I really don't want to be seen by anyone in here with my mankini on :whistling:
#34
hotel is £480 alone for that week so bargain,
weather should be still ok, we were in gumbet same week last year
#35
Voted cold ..ALL INC in Turkey are seldom good, the 5* hotels hide behind grand marble floors, nice pools and lots of facilities but this does not hide the poor quality of food and very poor local drink . Go to this hotel if u fancy soup, cauliflower and broccoli for breakfast, poor quality chicken, liver and beefburgers for dinner. Along with large bookings of Turkish / East European students (400+ on one holiday makers trip) is enough to tell me dont touch this deal with a very long barge pole.
#36
Turkish 5* = Normal 3*. Fact.

Not true.
I stayed in Bodrum at a very nice hotel and the food was more than adequate.
We didn't eat out once.
It just depends on the hotel. Obviously the food's gonna be different in a 3 * than a 5*!
#38
Thanks Travelzoo.
